I know lots of threads on this but has anyone ever had GM pay for the rear pad replacement? Dealer charged $200 for new pads and resurfacing rotors.

I had mine done at 15,000 miles, New rotors and pads. It's really the dealerships choice and how well you know them.

I had my pads and rotors done at around 22k miles under warranty. Mine wore evenly but something got stuck between the pad and rotor and grooved it pretty deep.

It's not very expensive to just replace the pads/rotors yourself..............and you don't have to deal with the dealer.

Huge thread sticky about this... Basically if your dealership is looking out for you, you get them replaced... If they are dicks like the one I brought mine to, you get to do them yourself.

kevnv,

Hope things are running well for you after the replacement. If you should have any warranty questions in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me via direct message (include the last 8 digits of your VIN and mileage so I can check your car's specific warranty parameters).

Sarah, GM Customer Service

Just ordered pads and rotors, stock parts, for $212 shipped for fronts. Was a lot cheaper than I first thought. Cheaper on Amazon than CrateEngineDepot
