Revving Question

Okay, so i've noticed this as i have been goofing off revving my car(after its warmed up and such) and when it hits like 4k it runs down slow and long?(lack of better terms)

Anyways i made one of those silly pre-muffler delete videos cause i'm planning on removing it tomorrow, but it shows what i'm talking about, take a gander here

sounds normal, reving a 4 banger isnt like a v8, 4 cyl takes longer to spin down,.

the car is designed to do that ... To prevent dumping of unburnt fuel into the catalytic converters which will over time it will damage them. The rev hang slows down the the sudden drop in rpm to fully burn off all excess fuel.
