Dang.. not looking forward to this.

My brother was saying on his 2008 EVO that he has to pay more to get his windows tinted because they have to place a new felt strip in there to prevent scratching the tint.

I plan on tinting my windows aswell.. i wonder if i can get them to put a new strip of felt in there to prevent these scratches..

any thoughts?

I just found more scratches on the passenger side window. I thought the seal was clean, but apparently not.

My windshield is really bad. You can see it in the sunlight. I thought it was just because it was just a rental car. But now i see GM just used cheap glass

It's not cheap glass. My Honda has the same scratches. It's just from use. Any car will do the same. All glass used in windshields is strictly monitored for quality. Anything safety related on vehicles is like that.

Same! Dealer buffed out scratches on driver's side, but now it created optical distortion. Learned to live with it.

I roll window down and wipe sand and rocks off the weather striping every time.
Here you could wipe it off and two hours later more sand and rocks in there again.

Its not just a GM thing, any car down here that rolls its windows down has major scratches on drivers door glass.
