shaddy business in nm portales hamilton GM dealership
shaddy business in nm portales hamilton GM dealership
heres the story tha i need to let everybody know, its been inside me for a while and i don't want anybody to screw by this salesman.
so on april 26 2009 when i bought my first brand new 09 T/C from this salesman name Bill Gurkey. first it took him over week and a half to get my car ship from tx dealership which he never told me which dealership but just texas dealership. second, he won't show me the window sticker price, which i pay a total of 27k. never explain anything to me, except using his "skill" to talk me into the whole situation. lie to me about the milage, said it was 20 miles. but when i got the car, it was 28 miles. third he told my friend that gave me a ride a free detail to his car. which when my coworker/friend call for a free wash, the salesman Bill Gurkey told him they just gonna charge it on top of my 27K. when the salesman told my coworker/friend about this, he just hung up on the salesman. this salesman keep telling me how he was a retired military, and want to help out other military member like me. after i purchase the ******* overprice vehicle, he kept on calling me starting with like how you doing, blah blah blah, then he would jump on if i find anybody wants to purchase vehicle. its really annoying, and for him trying to get a detail for my coworker/friend, and to put the tap on top of my purchase price of the vehicle, really shaddy.
verdict, don't buy any vehicle from any hamilton dealership, especially from Bill Gurkey.
and the reason i said any hamilton dealership is because every military member got rip by hamilton dealership.

no offense dude, but thats his job to screw customers over for profit. Next time check the fine print, and don't agree on pricing till it meets what you want. My window sticker was 27,210 and I was able to get the car for 20,300. I competed the Subie dealership with them. Also they manipulated the trade in price for me to get me where I wanted to be. I am military too, all dealers see when you walk in is a guaranteed sale, and a 1st sgt they can send a letter to if you miss a payment.

i know i know, i just walk into a trap without thinking. and i admit i was stupid. but the MAIN MAIN point is that he told my coworker/friend to come in and get a detail for his car and put the tap on top of my cobalt purchase. which is really **** up.
and the way he deal business, like he is doing everything so fast and gave me no time to think. and in a way that he is not gonna give me a ride back to my house because he picked me up to the dealership. i wasn't smart enough, which i admit. but the whole business he is doing is just shaddy

Sorry to hear, unfortunately it doesn't sound like you did your homework before making the purchase. You can build the exact car on GM's site to get the exact sticker price and many other sites will give you the approximate invoice price, etc.
This should be a valuable lesson to other forum members... do your homework before you purchase.
Remember, in the end, you signed the papers.

i already admit that i was stupid in the situation. but the MAIN point here is the whole car wash deal, and the salesman trying to tap it on top on my car. that is the point i'm trying to tell you all.
If the add ons are itemized on the paperwork that was sent to you, but not on the sales paperwork you signed you may have a shot.
Or, if the TV dudes or dudettes cause them enough grief ( bad press ) they may elect to work w/ you.
Or, it may be a 2K plus lesson on the world of car salesmen ...
2k figured on the difference between 27, and sticker.
In the overall scheme of things, that is a small price to pay for knowledge as just think if this yahoo had bent you over on a house !
Best of luck !

the main point is a $10 car wash on a $27,000 purchase? come on, that's nothing. i agree it should have been free, but don't be such an impulsive sucker next time. it's not the only cobalt ss in the world. talk them bastards down next time.
thanks guys, this is a hard lesson. and the good thing is that my friend did not take the car wash, he just hung up on the salesman when my friend finds out that the slaesman is gonna put it on top of my purchases.
its been six months, i don't think i can
