Someone on here did a mod to attach the plastic linkage with small bolts, I copied this method, by drilling the steel ball and tapping it for a machine screw, I then attached the plastic cup, screwed it down with just a TINY bit of play, perfection.

No, it gives the joint a different angle though, and you don't throw it as far either.

Love it. Like the feel, throw, and look of it.

I got mine with the reverse lockout.

I know RYRO14 has broken his shift linkage like 4 times, and he is scared to NLS from 2-3, and I don't blame him. But we need a good fix for this.

So a STS would fix the problem? That's very promising news!

no a sts wont fix it. The "fix" is bolting the lines instead of the pastic that is holding it.

I was the one that posted the mod with a small bolt thru the 2 pieces. It does work but it's only a temp fix!!!

I was able to buy just those clip pieces from a guy on Ebay for $25 shipped. He had plenty of them!

Busted the plastic ring clean in half on the right hand side cable, dealer replaced it then I used the shifter adjustment procedure and so far its working great the ironic part is the morning I took it out and busted the cable I had just read the adjustment thread and was gonna do it but decided to wait till I got back, worst part is I was showing a buddy the GMS1 power difference and how hard it pulled launched hard went from 2nd to 3rd and the cable end popped and the shifter went limp coasted to a stop and called roadside assistance. I am getting my money back from GM one tow at a time lol
