Speeding + running redlight + almost hitting another vehicle because of the other two elements = I think he needs to pay attention.

Yeah who cares...well remember that in case something happens to you in the future when someone does that

Oh who cares if there is children walking in the area...who cares if a family is about to go through the green light.

No one gives a **** until it happens. Then OMG ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE.

On a side note, we have roads in Cary, NC that are flat, straight, have no side entrances, and have visibility for miles down the road - and are 35mph speed limit. Highway 64 leading out to the middle of nowhere was recently widened to 4-5 lanes (each side, concrete barrier in between), no turns, and you could see for miles - and the speed limit was 55 for the longest time. Don't you hate that?

One time I hit the brake instead of the clutch at ~25mph, stopped nearly instantly and almost stalled the car, the seat belt left a mark on my neck and it was sore the next day. I was very impressed, much better brakes than the ones on my 94 Camaro.

Do a C5 brake swap. Then, your Camaro will stop on a dime.

Back on topic - Great breaks on the SS/TCs, no doubt. Went to an auto-x last summer and turned in a decent time as a result of those Brembos. They've earned my respect...

I LOVE the people that say they have never caused an accident. Especially old people. Of course the accidents they DID cause are BEHIND them. Bet you didn't see that one coming.

The brake and clutch are pretty close together. It happens sometimes especially if you have big feet like me.

Now I don't feel as bad about calling you an idiot. You're putting lives at risk. If you can't be responsible on the road, PLEASE don't drive! It's not cool to speed and break the law.

Yes, we all make mistakes; but yours was more than a mistake, you were being negligent and irresponsible. PLUS, we usually don't post it on the internet for the whole world to see. It doesn't even seem like you care you did any of that stuff...

Glad the brakes worked well Slow down and pay attention next time so you don't wear your brakes out, or potentially kill someone.

How do you not get it? The only reason you were almost in an accident is because YOU almost CAUSED IT. You post about 3 boneheaded moves you made, and how you almost caused an accident, and you expect people to not give you a hard time for it?

What you should say in the OP if you want the thread to stay on topic about how good the brakes are is "I was doing 60mph when an SUV ended up right in front of me. I stomped on the brakes and they performed amazingly! With lesser brakes I would have been in an accident for sure! Man, these things rock!"

All the comments would be about the brakes and no one would get off topic Just food for thought man! I'm glad you were able to drive away from it w/out any issue. Just hope you're more careful next time

Wow, almost needed a flame suit to enter. Yeah, i agree with everyone else, but I am not gonna flame. I did this the other day (not breaking the speed limit, actually, about 2-3 under, just driving faster than i should have been in unfamiliar territory). I was just looking too far ahead, and didn't see the light hiding on the corner. EEK!

But, the brakes are amazing. I pulled off 1.21 g's of braking one day on a very empty, secluded road.

X2.
Be carefull you would not like it if someone ran a redlight because they were speeding or not paying attention and hit you or someone you love. I hate drivers who are not paying attention.

The brakes are pretty good on this car but they will not fix poor judgement or lack of care while driving.
