squealing ss brakes

I was wonderin if anyone has this problem. Every time I stop my brakes squeal and it has gotten louder. GM told me that there is a service bulletin on it and that thats how a high performance brake system is, and that it says NOT to replace pads or rotors (i was shown the print out) what can I do

Breathe dood, just ignore these threads if you see them.

Dnasty88, we all see that you're new so without being rude, I'm going to inform you that before you post a new thread, click on the search button near the top right of the screen and try looking for the subject first. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle, G. I. JOOOOEEEEE!

If youre getting a high pitched squeal or whine, from the mostly the front brakes, or possibly the rear brakes, it is perfectyl normal, and some aggressive driving will make it go away for a little while.

If youre getting a grinding/scraping/growling sound, mostly from the back, its NOT normal, and you need to take it to a dealer and make sure they put it in the air and remove the wheels to inspect the inboard side of the rear rotors, paying particular atttention to the caliper mounting brackets. If you search for Krispys posts on this youll see the pics causing this second concern
