Mine is not that loud at all - you can hear it slightly, but not that bad. I think its either the camera amplifying it or he really does have a problem with something.

As for direct injection being a bitch to tune - it makes sense since one of the best features of direct injection is the ability to run "super lean" which would melt most normal pistons, but the way the fuel is injected there is a pocket of air that surrounds it and isolates the combustion reaction from the piston walls and crown. Make sense?

yea they are when laloosh starts his car next to mine, you can't even tell mine is on. but with his new manifold, they're about even.

coming from a full time videographer, to accurately capture sound you need microphones that the average joe would not even consider buying. that's why i don't bother with exhaust videos, or any other "sound" related videos. from the average home video camera, uploaded onto youtube (which compresses the **** out of video/audio) even a great camera and mic setup will not be accurate. there's just too much compression and loss of quality.

Not to mention the average joe usually crams the camera so far up the tailpipe you can hear the poor microphone screaming to distortion. Thats why when I did my flowmaster demo on my 300zx it is more of a sampling of what it sounds like - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-cBscMhCd4 (until the end where I highlight how bad most exhaust demos sound)
