Stage 2 Questions
Just waiting for spring to hit so i can put the stage 2 into my car... But just a few queations, how long does it take for the install so im not being screwed for labour? Is it a definate need, like am i going to be pleased with the upgrade, and most important should i replace the clutch so it can hadle the torque
seems like it typically takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours. depends on how good the dealer you go to is and if they've done it before. i was the first car my dealer did but my dealer is a really good dealer so they had a good idea on what to do. i ran into problems with the tune getting it to take so i was without a car for a few days. as long as you don't do it on a weekend you shouldn't have a problem with that though. heh.
and its definatly worth it if you want to keep the warrenty. big difference, car's a LOT more responsive and picks up a lot faster. well worth it. and i'm on the stock clutch, no problems at all. i'm personally very happy with having stage 2 in my car. do it!

Right on that is what I want to hear, Im just hoping for all the snow here in Canada to melt so I can get it done. How long have you been running on a factory clutch? and is there any slippage?
Your opion should i screw a new clutch until i have problems with it ?
I think you can just buy the kit, but just how my dealer works they like to be sticky with warenty if you open it and screw around with the contents!!! dealer depends....

1st stage 2 my dealer did. 2 hours or so. It ended up being on a rainy day and I still had a blast with what traction i got... well worth it. it'll rip you into your seat. be prepared to be bored racing the same old civics and crave something more challenging. it's a nice upgrade, especially for the money.
~2 hours for my install total (even though they kept the car all day).
Said they had to wait forever on the code to do the re-flash. I work from home
so it was no big deal for me to do without all day.
The poor young guy that brought it back to me
His eyeballs were like
saucers when he rang the doorbell lol. First thing he said was: "Man...That car is damn scary to drive!"
I laughed and really scared the crap out of him on the way back to the dealer to pay my bill lol
I had to verify the upgrade ya know
