Did you rotate tires without resetting tpms? I wouldn't call the sensors garbage, they saved me from riding on my rim when I lost tire pressure fast from running over a screw.

The sensors are garbage!! I had mine replaced a few moths back due to improper reading. Dealer replaced all four and I got a free oil change
OP I would stick with a tire pressure gauge.

Wow auto correct for the fail
This device is electronic usually at like Goodyear or some **** like that and what it does is when you are getting fucked up readings you point this device up to your tire where the sensor is press the reset button and the horn will beep once, yes I said the horn, after you do all 4 tires it should beep 3 times and you will then have accurate readings

The TPM sensors are generic and used in all GM vehicles.
They arent garbage unless your tires have been changed and the tire-tech either got something in the pressure orifice or cracked the housing which i have seen numerous times.
I would guess you had a tire rotation without performing a proper TPM learn after.

You have to enable the learn mode first using your key fob. Horn beeps twice indicating learn started.
2 ways to learn each tire. Pressure increase/decrease or with the remote handheld tool.
Horn beeps once when each tire is learned.
Horn beeps twice after the last successful tire has been learned.

It's all outlined in the owner's manual. If I remember correctly, you turn the key on, engine off. Then press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob. The horn should sound twice and the driver's front turn signal should blink, showing you what tire the vehicle is set to relearn. You let air out slowly, the horn sounds, then its on to the next tire. Repeat for all 4 tires.

mines not garbage.....works as advertised....i as well found a nail in tire because of it....the senors are senstive and stop reading at times...but after sitting for a couple of hours or so while the car is off it behaves itself on restart. Op like everyone said do a relearn. Sounds like tires are swapped

Well, Im having problems with this too. I just had my car in the dealer for the rear brakes, at 30K they had to change to pads again. Thats another story... but when I got the car back a day later the DIC was throwing the check tire pressure light. It was showing my RF tire holding 74 PSI! And it was showing the LR tire holding only 21 PSI. Obviously incorrect. So I did the TPS relearn as outlined in the owners manual. Did it a few times. Still throwing the error code. Now they display the RF as 23 PSI and the LR as 72 PSI. Is there anything else I can do besides trying to the relearn again several times, or do I have to make yet another trip to the dealer?

That's why I asked lol. A lot of people also fill it to the max safe pressure on the side of the tire too. Then the tire gets hot as they drive and its even higher.
