Tire Pressure System

Is anyone else having an issue with the damn tire pressure system? Got an alert showing something with the tire system and when I scrolled through to the tire pressures I observed that the right rear was not reading a pressure. Is this common, my wife says it has happened a few times to her, but that it goes away and the tires are fine.

I just had this happen to me for the first time two days ago. I figured the sensor in the tire was out of power (battery operated device), but the next day it is back up and running like nothing ever happened. I wonder if they just lose connectivity every once in a while.

I have never had an issue. I rotate my tires and reset the system at every oil change.

I've got two wheels that randomly give the "--" reading and the service tire monitor error indicating the system has lost contact with the sensors. One of them seems to occur more often when running higher tire pressures and is on a wheel that the tire shop scratched the inside lip when mounting new tires last year so I wouldn't rule out possible damage from that as you have to be very careful with the stem mounted sensors when dismounting or mounting new tires as to not damage it.

They'll normally start working again after one of them stops reading by the next time I drive the car, so it hasn't been that big of a deal as it only occurs maybe once a month. More than likely it is just a sensor issue but keep in mind that the low-power wireless transmission system the sensor's use can be subject to interference from outside sources.

I'm having problems with mine too. It wont let me reset them and it's saying my LF needs air, put air in it and it says I gave the air to the RR lol. I check them often so im not worried about it even though the light sucks.
