Yeah, I think it would be annoying, draw too much attention for me at least.

I like my field of view to not have bright stuff in the way. Or air fresheners dangling, etc..

BUT, for looks? I think it would LOOK kinda nice, but it would bother me personally.

It already looks strange in dark grey, attached to a light grey pillar. It also already looks strange that a square brick is hanging off a rounded pillar. I still don't know why they didn't reshape this thing and put it on the middle of the dash, angling toward the driver. Designs like this make me understand why everyone hacks on the American cars: because it looks like an afterthought.

I think the hood being up and the door being open allows it to blend too much with other red components. In a normal situation, you wouldn't see anything else red and it would just be a lone red brick sticking out on to your dark grey dashboard.

HAHA!! I've never seen the inside of an HHR. I don't suppose that dash would fit in our cars? I like A/C controls better, too.

Too much red me thinks... That HHR interior looks way better than the balt interior. I haven't seen an HHR SS interior ever. I barely see one or two in person on the road
