This was a weekend event I decided to go to over Thanksgiving. Located in western PA. Beaverun Motorsports Complex. There was a tarmac course, which I stayed on mostly, but I was feeling brave and decided to try the mud course! The only tires I had to use were the mostly worn stock Continentals. The only reason I decided to give it a shot was because I had a buddy there with a truck to pull me out if I needed it, but I ended up getting through it 3 different attempts without getting stuck once! I was amazed, and so were all the spectators!
These images are for amusment purposes only, and to show how surprisingly well the Cobalts can get around in the mud! lol
Mods: Jannetty Racing side exit 3" exhaust, CIA catless downpipe. HIDs, Custom HP Tune.

Props for taking the car where you can learn and have fun safely. Don't listen to all the weenies scared of getting dirty.
I love Beaverun. It's a fun, REALLY fast track. How'd you like the track, and was it your first time there?
I know they're having financial problems, but I really hope they make it.

why get an evo when you can get a subaru is exactly what i was going to say. props for not getting stuck man now have fun cleaning that mess up lol. the good old pressure washing and time labor should do you some good.
Thanks for all the props guys, it sure was fun. I was hesitant at first but everybody kept egging me on to see how it would handle, I figured eh what the heck.. mud is soft, what is the worst that could happen? haha
Washing the car was a different story! 4 times through the car wash, with the underbody wash is what it took. I probably will not try it again, mainly just wanted to prove that I could do it but you only live once right?
I realize an Evo would have been a much more appropriate vehicle for such activities, but this is all I had so why not?
The HIDs are housed in 2nd Gen projectors, Halos deactivated (didn't want to look too rice - no offense), lights are from DDM Tuning. 5K in fogs and 6K in lows.
My buddy did a ride along, we both had a blast. I did not get to try the actual track at Beaverun, they only had cones set up in the large parking lot area they had, with dirt sprinkles around for the tarmac section. There was a totally separate short mud course also set up next to it, I did both of them. For the tarmac course, RWD would have been way funner though, drifting using the hand brake in the Cobalt is a major PITA.
