towing with a 2009 T/C

I'd like to know what you think about towing a light trailer with a 2009 t/c. I'd like to tow around 800 and 1500 pounds. (snowmobile or a jetski). I do not worry about the tranny or the engine itself, but i'm concern about the turbo overheating. Is it dangerous that the turbo overheat.

It won't tow, but it will haul... a** lol

On a more serious note, I have wondered if it had light abilities, such as mounting a small bike rack that goes into a receiver. I know that some people with the Sky have been able to rig up something for instance, and it wasn't originally meant for it either.

I figure that the rear bumper lip will keep anything like that from happening though.

there is no reason it cant tow a light trailer. ppl tow bikes to the track all the time. i put 110,00 miles on my 05 SS and towed my bikes to the track all the time. the car never had 1 problem and you cant even tell there is anything back there aslong as you get a super-light trailer and are only hauling something light (like a dirtbike)

i think my trailer weighs under 300lbs (i opted to go w/o an end gate just to keep the weight down, and my bikes weigh around 200 (depending which one) so thats light enough for the car to pull w/o any harm. my friend comes to practice with an old GTi that he hauls and another guy with an impala with a trailer bigger than mine. aslong as you arent being ridiculous, then youll be fine.

i havent put my hitch on my SS/tc yet, but sure enough its gonna be haulin suzukis this year!

How'd you get a hitch on it? Was there any cutting of the rear bumper involved?

no. you cant even tell it on there. someone posted pretty detailed pics of their black ss/tc that they just put on. im sure if u search you can find the thread. you cant tell its there until you fasten the insert/ball, which you obviously only put on when you are ready to connect the trailer anyways.

High rise + trailer? Rear visibility must be next to nothing.
