trouble downshifting into 3rd

Anybody else have an issue getting into 3rd from 4th at around 35-40 mph? My car seems to be doing it almost every time around that mph. Higher mph, no issue. 5th to 3rd, no issue. I can reproduce it sitting still by putting the car in neutral, letting out the clutch, push it back in and then try to put it in 3rd. It has a hard time going every time. Anybody else notice this or have this issue?

None for me. I was obsessive about aligning the shifter cables though. It took me days to get the perfect alignment. If you find it difficult, I would start with re-aligning your cables.

I have no issues with that shift. Buttery smooth.

I randomly have issues with 1st at a dead stop but never 3rd. I would do as wangspeed said and adjust cables.

That very well may be the issue. We put a Exedy hypersingle in it and the clutch works fine and the tranny shifts great except for this on issue. Only does it occasionally too.

yup its awesome. I drive around town...get to a random stop light, throw it in N...wait...then light goes green and I try to get into 1st and it goes 1/2...crap so I have to try it a few times and it finally goes. So next time I'll try doing the clutch in/out and see if that works.

I have this problem too. very rarely though. if 1st goes only half way in, what always works for me is i throw it into another gear then take it out and put it back into first. always works. sometimes happens with reverse for me too.
