Unhappy Turbo Flutter possibly

Man don't know what's going on but I think I may have some bad turbo flutter. The turbo almost always flutter even when I hit it hard. I don't really feel the boost kick in like it should either. Even when I'm cruising you can hear the turbo suck in air through the intake loud inside the car. I'm really hoping it's that Forge Atmospheric BPV, ever since I've had that on my balt's been gradually making more flutter. I guess what I'm asking for is some feed back from some of you on here who experience the same thing and solutions to fix problem. I know my car is at 51,000 miles already

Have you serviced your BPV? They are NOT no maintenance. You do need to take them apart regularly and lubricate the piston or it sticks.

stock bpvs flutter some if you listen closlly. especially if you hear it on a kappas chassis car.

they do need to be lubricated as sox fan said.

Yeah and maybe switch back to stock BPV to diagnose.

If you're smart you service it before it needs it.

Hey, you asked a question. I gave you the right answer. Too damned bad if you aren't smart enough to accept it.

I only ask because it seems to be working fine after 85k. Never heard of having to service one.

The Forge BPV needs to be serviced regularly. It takes 7 to 10 minutes to do. If you're smart you do it before it starts to stick. Every other oil change is a good place to start.

edit - instead of waiting till "how do I know if it's sticking" just go do it. 7 minutes. 3 10mm bolts, a rag, a dab of grease.

(he did reference in the OP that he has a Forge Atmospheric BPV)

the stock one is a rubber diaphragm and is not serviceable.

Who can't read?

And I said not SO dumb, meaning there still room for dumbness to be had, or dumb left over.

Sorry I haven't reached cobalt god-like level of knowledge of these cars. I don't feel the need to learn about such an insignificant car.

knowledge, regardless of the subject, is never insignificant. refusing to learn is asinine.

John's right. Still dumb.

Engine that was made for 3 years = insignificant.

Wanna talk ls1's or hayabusa engines clear your schedule.

I'm being a literal *****. Deal with it.

Plus you were arguing silliness and semantics with sox who's not a fool by any stretch of the word (now if you had said his sexuality was questionable, then I'd be inclined to agree.. ) If you had paid attention to the OP's question about having a forge vta bpv in the first place we wouldn't be here right now.

Our bypass valve is used on several engines by several different manufacturers. Again, ignorance and unwillingness to learn = dumb.

because the hyabusa and the ls1 are the end all and be all. Got it.

Because I run a business that specializes in boosted hayabusas, a few that have made well over 600whp. My ignorance to stay away from learning other platforms has been a very profitable decision. If making a living is dumb, well I don't want to be smart.

Y'all Yankees must be getting cabin fever with all that snow the last few days, and need to get on the internet to beat on y'all's chest.

Now if you gentlemen will excuse me, I'm gonna go take my end all be all ls based c6z out for a drive, that was paid for by my ignorance of only focusing on 2 engine platforms, and enjoy this mild Texas winter night.

^^This.

Not to mention the endless amount of turbos out in production using the same bpv. All the kkk series, efr series and some of the newer mitsu turbos all use the same identical bpv up to current production date. The 3 year production run of the lnf was hardly the first and only engine to come with a stock turbo running that bpv.
