Upgrade Kit on the Way
GM Stage Kit for SS/TC w/ Dyno!
Update 3: Got the kit installed this week (after a long drawn out process involving the intake of the turbo being cracked) went to Big Shot with a couple folks and got my after.
Before:

After:

(I'll resize the images later, I have to scan the run where we got torque the first time.)
My first impressions before I got on the dyno was that my tires grew a sudden allergic reaction to traction. rolling in second gear at 45mph and stabbing the throttles breaks the tires loose. And finally that feeling in the pit of my stomach when I accelerate has returned.
The throttle response seems longer now but it might just be that the turbo takes longer to wind up. In the end the extra 30+ whp and 60+ ft-lbs seems totally worth the $500 it cost me. So far my fuel economy has plummeted, but that may be due to my driving habits with all this power on tap
. I'll report back with fuel economy changes when I get a week driving to work without leaving a patch of rubber from driveway to parking lot.
Update 2: got my appointment tomorrow at Big Shot for my baseline, I'll call to see if I can get the kit installed Saturday but I won't have an after pull until May 7th, maybe I should worry about moving to my new place more than getting this kit installed...
...NAH!!!
Update: got the kit pretty quickly, scheduling a baseline reading at Big Shot dyno nearby. I have to run out the old fuel in the car first, so I can't get in at Big Shot for at least a week. The suspense is killing me. Also, please stop snowing nature, I hate driving my winter beater at this point.
Just put in the order for the turbo upgrade kit at CED. I'm way too excited since this purchase has been a year in the making. I'll try and get to a dyno before I go in for the install but I don't know what's in the area. Anyone know of a good dyno in NorthEast Ohio?
I'll update this thread with charts/impressions.
So excited!

OP... Google Big 3 Racing (Brunswick), Akron Horsepower, or Big Shot Dyno... all are places in the area to get a dyno done before or after your tune.
I'm not suggesting any of the 3 places listed... just throwing it out there.

Apparently a coworker knows someone who takes their Covette to a specific place to tune. If it's good enough for a Vette it'll be good enough for my Cobalt. Hopefully it's one of the places you mentioned because I'm close to most of them.
Maybe not, if they are not familiar with forced induction direct injection 4 bangers...
Grats man! I was looking to go this route also. Purchase the kit off the internet & have me and a buddy install. But the dealerships in my area told me that they would not flash it for me. I would have to purchase it through them and let them install it. The funny this is they were going to charge me around $50 for just the flash. $820 for complete install. Nothing better than going faster and keeping the warranty!
BigShot is where I do all my stuff. Great guys! Not sure when you're planning on getting it done but...they give us a nice group price

If it's just for a dyno, most anyplace would be good enough for that.

That's exactly what I was thinking but, this dealership has replaced my entire rear brake assembly(under warranty), & gave me a GM Customer care plan (just received it) where oil changes, tire rotations, fluids, etc are supposedly free/reimbursed? up to 48000. I was somewhat bent out of shape initially, but all the technology available now HPT, Trifecta, etc has me leaning in that direction. Im in the panhandle of FL, I think Term is the closest tuner to my location.

Term is awesome though if you ever do want a custom tune.
I just called the dealer where I bought my car and they said they'd install the kit and flash for $100. I'll start doing the work myself when I get a cold air intake kit. I'm gonna let the dealer do the whole install for maximum warranty retention.
If a dealer won't do the work for you, you'll have to go to another one.

I live in So Cal and got great HPT tune at Church Autmotive in Wilmington. He's one of the top tuners in So Cal. Make sure you ask for Sean Church himself. I had the GM parts in hand and I'm glad I went HPT route. I sold the GM chips. No sensors/wires to screw up and you get 15 more HP out of the tune at 20lbs boost.
I keep adding updates.
Also my urge to get this kit on went through the roof when I had to help my friend get his brand new V6 Camaro home from the dealer. 300 HP is pure sex. I need to get there and this is the first step. Come on weekend, you can't here fast enough.

I'll update the thread above but I got my numbers Friday. I pulled 243.1 HP on a DynoJet. Dies anyone have a reliable number for losses to get the crank HP from WHP? I'll scan the graphs when I get a chance.
I have been in Stow, I've got a friend who lives there so I'm around every now and then. Plus there's a shop in Cuyahoga falls I visit a lot (board gaming, nothing cool, mostly nerdy). I'll definitely be in for the mini-meet, it's on the 7th, yes?
I'm assuming my friend's Camaro would be welcome even though it's a Cobalt meet.
