Used LNF Engine Prices

I'm looking into getting a spare engine for my 09 sedan. Mine currently hit 250,000kms a couple weeks ago and that number makes me a bit nervous. There's a guy local to me who is parting out a write-off 2008 LNF with 180,000kms, and he's asking $1000.00 for the complete engine. Not sure if this includes the turbo and charge piping, but was wondering what kind of pricing I should be looking at?
I'm in Canada btw
Thanks

They are expensive out here. Last time I checked, they wanted $2500 usd for a long block, no turbo. Most of them have about 120k miles so about the same as the one you are looking at.

Edit - maybe contact ZZP and see how much their LNF long block is shipped out your way. Dont think it would be much more and then you would have a brand new engine.

ZZP is $2k for an LDK long block; $1400 for a "Gen 3 Short Block".

Personally, as long as you keep up with a good maintenance schedule, then I wouldn't sweat it - the major components don't wear out, going a replacement block, imo, is over the top. Do some oil testing for peace of mind.

I guess that's in US dollars then. Still for brand new thats pretty good.
Any suggestions for something I should replace or keep my eye on with the amount of KMs I have? I know I need to do a timing replacement yet
