Value?

Mods: please move as needed, but seemed to fit here.

So I was curious about the value of my SS. It's a sport tint red sedan with G85. I'm the second owner, it's stock, and no rust with 48k miles. I was trying to gauge what others are asking, but honestly I couldn't find anything to compare to. Only coupes and they were all over 100k miles.Thoughts?

Honestly it depends on area and such. If you were to trade it in it would likely make you sick on value, guessing around $4000. Selling outright I have seen them go $6000-$8000, and it really depends on finding the right buyer.

Being a sport red tintcoat sedan wont really matter unless you find a buyer who knows these cars.

I'd say higher than $8k for the sedan, G85, and those miles. Should fetch over $10k. Coupes maybe $8k. If it weren't for the time he'd still have the factory powertrain warranty.

???

Yeah right buyer for sure lol. I just put the color in there since I don't have any pictures on my computer.

If someone handed me 11k (no flame since not a fs post pls xD) I'd sell now, but I wasn't really looking to sell since I don't even know what I'd want to replace it with lol. I was just curious since I didn't see any others for sale anywhere at all. Everyone has a price though right?

Exactly haha. It's "just a cobalt" so I get it's not worth a fortune, but for what it is it's a little rare imo

It's still losing value.

These cars won't have any sort of extra value for a long long time.

In the used market they're just old cars now. The only place I can see people even offering real interest at 10k is forums.

Yep, that seems to be the case

you guys are crazy if you think its worth more than 10...

A guy on here had one with half the miles for 14k and it was a tough sell.

I would say 7-9k depending on condition.

Nobody wants to admit their car is worth peanuts.

Just keep it,that's the only way you make any value in a car once it's worth less than 10k. Will probably last you 5 more years and you can sell it for $2500. That's only about $1k a year for the car from what you would get now verses selling for in 5 years. Or you could buy something newer and pay at least $3500 a year.

There is a guy in NY that wanted 7K for an 05 with around 50K. It had a dealer installed stage 2, header and exhaust. The car had the typical peeling clear coat and rattled. He had been trying to sell it for over six months. He originally started asking 10K for the car. I know the turbos go for more, but like everyone has stated it needs to be the right buyer. At the 10K price point there are just too many other options.

But like I said there were none for sale that I could find and there haven't really been any similar to mine since I bought it. I wasn't sure, so the forum seemed like the best place to ask aside from pulling the NADA value (doesn't allow me to factor in g85, but idk if that even really adds much)

Note: I said I'd take that offer because I'm not selling and have no intention to do so. Like I also said, everyone has a price and that would be mine if someone offered
