I have recently acquired a 09 ss cobalt and found ya'll. I want to get the car tuned and get a cold air intake. I was wondering as far as suggestions, i was thinking about getting a hahn cold air intake.

 

you should search on using intakes with our cars. intakes are iffy.... your best best to get the most bang for your buck is a downpipe and a tune. Then again I keep hearing that an intake with a tune should be ok, although most people get crazy IATs and AFRs from intakes. stock intake with a drop in filter is best. THey just need to remove that accordian elbow piece with a long silicone coupler and it would be perfect.

the stock exhaust is also a pretty good exhaust, there's not much power gains to be acquired there, only thing that you can get with getting an exhaust is a nice sound .

 

Actually i just made custom exhaust yesterday. ;-) sounds great!!!

 

the big hp tc/ss's here have a k&n drop in and tune maybe with charge pipes and a dp and get 330-340+whp. So yes the intake market is shitty at the moment...Im trying to change that we shall see what cp-e comes up with.

 

i have a nice exhaust on my car i never dyno it to see the difference but i can tell between night and day and it has an awesome sound

I love my car and its faster than the 08 wrx...but man, I gotta tell ya. I just put on an invidia 3" exhaust on a friends wrx yesterday and it was AMAZing, i really wish our cars would sound like that lol.

 

TUNE IT!!!!!!! makes such a big difference im running dejon intake stright pipe exhaust dejon charge pipe hks bov and trifecta tune and i wouldnt change it for anything
