My thought is that GM tuned the thing at the Nurburgring...they only thing you achieve by lowering it is messing with perfection and improving the looks slightly (unless you drop it too much...then it looks horrible!)...

Well you might lose 0.1 seconds off of a laptime but thats ok for me. It needs to be lower. If the SS sits lower then the other balts, I hate to see their wheelgap

I have the eibach sportlines on my 08 ss. I put them on about 1000 miles ago, and so far i like them. They are a bit stiffer, but not to the point that its annoying. I would recommend them if your just looking to lower your car a bit.

Ive got the Eibach sportlines installed on our Cobalt SS Turbo and the ride is pretty amazing considering its dropped nearly 2 inches!

We've got great BEFORE and AFTER photos on our website, and a GREAT everday price!

Check out the photos here:

And for those of you in Canada, you can check out the shipping costs on our website, I believe we can ship springs by US postal mail for about $40 so it would be less than $250 DELIVERED to Canada from Modern Performance!

Yeah, $400 for one set of springs ? Dont think so. You could get a set of Eibach springs, have them professionally installed and get about 6 Mcdonalds quarter pounder meals for $400.

that white TC you have that you installed sportlines on is sexy. The drop is perfect. But I have seen TC's with sportlines and have not yet seen one that low. Especially the shot of the rear tire. Those sportlines you put on there wernt brand new right? they were off an ss/sc or something? they must have been broken in.

And honestly im not trying to be negative or anything cause by no means is it. Cause if they are broken in thats cool but if they wernt then that means that they could get a tad lower over time.

When I sent an email to you guys, I was told shipping would be $65 so I went with something else. If it was less then $250 shipped, I would have ordered with you in a second but $65 to ship something is insane imo.

I went with SSC springs because well I only paid like $15 for shipping and it gives as much of a drop as the sportlines but I wish they were stiff like the sportlines

After a few hundred miles of driving, all TC owners can expect the same amount of drop that we have pictured.

Furthermore, most springs will only "settle" by about .20 inch or so, not a massive amount..

Thanks for the compliments.. Its a great car, and we really enjoy driving it !

Ive got the Pedders on my car.....the Sportlines drop about the same or 1/4" lower, but the Pedders ride almost exactly like stock, the Sportlines are softer.

I just got the SSC's on my car and they seem really soft. Like way softer then the stock springs.

The SSC are like really soft. Its hard to explain it but it seems stock was much better. When I turn, I get bodyroll and just feels sloppy in the corners now

Sportlines (according to the web page) are about the same stiffness as stock, but are softer when not compressed (due to the progressive design). What you get is the lowering look. My ride is slightly smoother on smooth roads.

I feel sorry for people who got sportlines looking for something stiffer then. That first turn at the track and they would be like wtf. Atleast I am and it sucks, I want to go back to stock now.

Hmm thats not the experience I had.. I have a much firmer ride now (going over bumps) and the body doesnt roll as much (this was before the sway bar, which was a bad decision, dont get it). Strange.

Stock springs = onramp I could take at 75-80max, nothing changed but new springs = same onramp at 90, sway bars = same ramp at 95. The reason I say stay away from the Eibach is on really tight turns - you can actually feel the inside wheel lift when you lose traction. Its too much bar.

I notice the bumps more but the car seems sloppy if I were to mimic doing a slalom run. The roll is more and just seems softer like when I turn hard from right to left.

My thought has always been...this car was tuned at the Ring...the handling amazes everyone that drives it...why change it? I think most people do it just for cosmetic reasons...and if this is your only concern, you should have purchased a Sport instead of the SS...
