Stock plugs are the best bet.

I have NGK iridium and they made the car run better and got an extra mpg or 2. Even at 20k my plugs in the car looked used, guessing last owner used cheap gas or didn't drive it hard enough. I run NGK's in my Trailblazer and LS1 TA, no problems from any of them.

I was thinking of going colder plugs since im tuned, the NGK modernperformance sells.

They have a cold and colder over stock.

Anyhow would this be a better route, or no? input please?

I was thinking of going the 1 step colder instead of the coldest.

Typically the LNF goes thru plugs pretty quick. I made a bad decision and dropped Autolites in for the last 2 times, they died quickly. I'm @ 40k and on my 4th set of plugs including the stock ones. I'm back to running the NGK stock plug since it holds up the best and the car really likes the stock plug.

If the car starts throwing misfire CELs during warm up its probably time to look at your plugs and possibly change them. I have one right now that is setting my light off every 3rd-4th day.
