Who has the Forge Diverter Valve / BPV

Has anyone ordered the Forge Diverter Valve from modern performance? If so how do you like it, what does the sound compare to? Any problems?

I have it, bought it from them to. You hear a little chirp when you let off the gas, nothing compared to a intake though. I just bought it cause the stock one sucks.

Im Happy, i can't believe i didnt know about this sooner, cause i love the sound of BOV on evo's and sti's but I don't want any problems with my car, so this is the best of both worlds.

I once read on here before that the Forge BPV + K&N SRI is actually QUIETER than just an intake alone.

Then I read some more reviews and people were saying the sound is just the same as the stock BPV.

Then I read it was the same tone of sound, just that it takes longer to release.

So now idk what to think and am probably just going to pass on it.

Does adding the intake and BPV require a re-tune on the stock tune and also again if you are already tuned? I am sure it would be better to tune for it, but in reality will it mess anything up?

I'd say you would need to re-tune for the intake itself.

you dont need a re-tune but a it would be better to do so. Get those fuel trims the best you can get them
And my forge pretty much sound the same as my stock bpv just a minor sound difference on low rpm shifts. Sound like the same kicked puppy on highboosted shifts.

I couldn't tell a difference. Installed the Forge BPV by itself and no change using the spring it came with or swapping springs. Put it in correctly with the open end facing down and it was well lubed and so forth. Installed the K&N with the Forge BPV and it sounded good. Removed the Forge BPV and it sounded the same.... so I sold it. LOL.

I think some are overlooking the fact that this isn't so much a "sound mod", as it is a wise upgrade over the cheap plastic diaphragm style stock bpv. Forge's metal plunger style valve is FAR more robust, more reliable, will never tear, crack, and is full serviceable/rebuildable. All of those reasons are well worth it to me personally....

With that said, I do actually hear a difference in sound with mine over stock. It's a totally different tone and is a bit louder. Mine sounds nothing like the video above to be honest. I personally just think it's cheap insurance to have.

Thank you! Don't even have to ask any questions about it here then
/thread

But somebody else said you don't need to tune with an intake and bpv.. ANY intake other than stock, you Need a re-tune.. period.. end of questions. It'll run, but it won't run right although I've heard that the K&N short rams are fairly close without tuning, but you won't get any significant improvements without tuning.
