Yup mine is seeing winter too. No point on not driving it unless you do not want to buy all season tires. Now as for my T-type(Just like a Buick grand National for the people that doesn't know(and for the people that still doesn't know it is the Black car that Vin Diesle drives in the next Fast and Furious 4))that sees the Garage for almost 9 months out of the year.

i found a truck that costs the same as winter tires. not that its safe, but i do like trying keep the cobalt as rust free as i can given the rediculous amount of salt they use here. plus rwd and unplowed parking lots are great fun. my cobalt already went through two PA winters.

Care to elaborate? Are you running, like 100lbs of boost and blew the thing up, or something?!?

Winter in the desert and SoCal just means slightly cooler temps and better intercooler efficiency. Although I probably will stop driving it as much (maybe) since miles are racking up. Should hit close to 20k this month.

Yeah we got our first snow here in oregon and that is a diasater in its own here, i still have stock tires on, i thought ahhh i can drive, well snow and hills=fail. I was all fine till i hit the hill coming back to my apartment let me tell ya traction control SUCKS!!!!! it cuts all the power to the wheels, lets say the first time i didn't make it up the hill, so i turned off the traction control started in 2nd and floored it........lol redlined the whole way up the hill think half my tread was left on the street(didn't help i just got my tune yesterday turbo boosting to 22psi)

Ain't no way I'm driving a cheap crappy winter beater for 4-5 months/year when I just bought a comfortable, fast, great car under 30k.

When we buy a car up here, its capabilities during the wintertime is definitely something we consider... it's part of our reality for 1/3 of the year.

oh well...

I will put the snows on and try to avoid the salt and pits everywhere from the sand, some winter days when roads are dry are not bad. Main reason for the snows and new wheels the potholes will destroy the factory rims.

Why not just avoid the potholes? U must be the type of driver who doesn't pay attention to the road and hit everything obstacle on it.

Good driving skills is all you need during winters.
And don't forget to wash the car whenever you get a dry day to wash off that salt.

Keep it looking good!!!!!!! So come spring time, its time to show off again.

ok hold on. why get a car! pay X dollard a month and store it in a garage? its a damn FWD cobalt.

i could understand if it was a 400 hp rwd car or whatever. a mustang or a M3,

mine got some really good winter tire on it, LSD is awesome in the snow. you cannot drive a better fwd car than that in the snow.

oh and why pay for a damn car and watching the car sitting in the driveway?

i drive the ****** damn thing! oh my mileage omg. its a car! drive it! i bought the damn car to go were ever i want when i want....

you guys are patheeeeeeeetic
