The million dollar answer for these cars is who can find wheels with enough clearance without using wheel spacers...nobody has found any wheels that clear them with a safe clearance...most are thinking of using wheel spacers....

Where did you get 20mm offset from? The OEM wheels are 42mm offset...

ufnwish 09-22-2008 04:58 PM

the wheels i had on my 06 were 38 mm offset and there damn near a 1/2 in off so im looking for around 62 mm now

dodge2chevy 09-22-2008 09:24 PM

Konig hotswaps will fit had them n my car 4 2 days while my buddy had his car at the painters

What's the stock size and offset of the oem 18" set up? 18 x ? e.t. ?

dodge2chevy 09-22-2008 10:21 PM

they cant tell you..its not what rim fits..its what rim clears the brembos

dodge2chevy 09-22-2008 10:23 PM

so no1 wants to say it will fit, if they dont know for sure...and no1 knows for sure because no1 has a car

Stop the useless bickering. Now or sooner. Thanks, carry on.

Prouty33 09-23-2008 12:59 AM

If it were only as easy as calling a wheel shop...I've been to 5 local wheel/tire shops (looking for winters) and not one has any idea what will fit. 4 of the 5 called their "wheel specialist" all of which insisted any 17 or bigger will fit. I bickered with the first few then said screw it for the last couple... Almost no one has any experience with the 08-09's and wheel fitment. Hopefully someone can find a good shop, or someone they know that works at one, that can throw on a ton of different wheels and find out what actually fits.

open your eyes, he came on here demanding people to give him all this info, the search button is an amazing feature, and well so is google, o wait theres more? PICK UP A PHONE AND CALL SOME SHOPS! holy shit, didnt know this was a hard concept.
get where im coming from?;)

but he came to a MESSAGE BOARD to ASK A QUESTION, which is apparently an unheard of thing to you... he didn't want to call a shop, he wanted to ask a fucking question on a message board, a good one at that... I could understand if its something that has been beaten to death on here(like GM stage kits), but have you checked our sticky on wheels? its a fucking brembo brake topic, hardly any posts about WHEELS...

HatedCobalt 09-23-2008 07:41 AM

ill be on top of this today. i gotta call my wheel reps at the warehouse and see what i can come up with. ill be posting my findings them.

ls1fbody 09-23-2008 07:52 AM

not unheard of, i will admit i may have been a bit harsh yesterday, i had a VERY bad day to say the least/ under alot of stress (effing school!:cussing:)... i appologize for that.
however at the same time it seems i took the way he was asking in the wrong context.

this is how i meant it to come across.... go to a local wheel/ tire specialist, show up and talk to them in person, let them know the dilemma and if they would spend some time figuring something out with you, if they are a good shop and reputible at that they should have no problem with this as it will only lead to more business...

Jkunzy1690 09-23-2008 12:38 PM

trebs... do you not understand what hes asking ? sure he can call a shop, they can get him rims that will fit.... but unless they are a brembo wheel tire and brake fitting company:) im pretty sure they will not know what will clear the brakes. he knows what size rim fits his car. he just doesent know what rims will clear the brakes without spacer. jeeze give him a break .

ufnwish 09-23-2008 01:10 PM

thx again to all that are tryin to help my wheel guy has talk to 22 dealers so far every one of them well it should fit so now its buy a wheel check it send it back how damn long do you think that will fly
what i cant believe is the 08 has been out for how long and its still a problem is there any aftermarket for this car
