Why can't people believe an ss/tc runs 13.5 stock?

u gotta do a weight reduction b4 the next time u go to the track:
no spare, jack, back seats, floor mats, and back carpet its all about 90-100lbs i want to see wat u can do on stock everything, then try with Dr's wouldnt be suprised if u hit 12.99

Exactly...the trap speed tells all...basically that shows your power to weight ratio.....and any intelligent drag racer should realize that 104 mph in the 1/4 is solidly in the mid 13's....possibly low 13's with some traction.
Being a Mustang fanatic as well, I have seen numerous stock 07 and 08 GT's run 13.5's and 13.6's at a slower 102 mph with just some sticky tires. The RWD is what gets them those lower ET's when compared to our SS/TC's.
With the trap speeds we have, I think the theorectical limit of how fast a stock SS/TC could go with perfect traction is around 13.2 - 13.3.
What kills our cars in times is the lack of traction due to the FWD and a not very effective launch control for the track. When our cars actually hook up though, we can put down some decent times.
Sounds like the SRT guys are being pretty dumb in that critique of our cars.

they weigh about 25-30lbs and the bar that holds them weighs 10 spare and jack weigh 40 together

is there a how to because im prepping my car for the track all this week i already am down to like 20 mi left to my tank and i just added 100 octane and jack and tire are getting taken out i took of the spoiler i unhooked my catless dp because i have stock catback im going to take out my carpets and back seat. how hard is it to unhook the sub?
