Just got off the phone with the dealer here and he's been calling some of the other dealerships in the state that have 1 in stock but they're saying they are getting calls from New Jersey and stuff so they seem unwilling to give them up. Plus do I really want one that hasn't been "reinspected"??

I feel bad for the dealerships having to put up with this stuff because they're trying their best but can't get any news from GM...

A dealer called me today and said the car they had coming in was returned because of hail damage. Apparently sitting in the parking lot waiting on inspections some got damaged...

wtf - who knows.

this is ture. there has been some bad weather in oh and they said some got damaged, thank god mine was in mich at that time.

 

Is there a way to check on the status of a car yourself or does it have to be done through the dealer? My dealer just keeps saying it's on the truck and should be there any day.

I got my SS/TC yesterday. but i was meant to get another but there was some hold up. i think they said it was a quality inspection or something and they said the car was still loaded on train or whatever. So they made a deal with a dealer in missouri and went and picked up mine lol.. i live in oklahoma....

 

I just spoke to my dealer. It seems that over 1200 cars were damaged while in the holding area in Ohio. Mostly Cobalt, Solstice & Sky's. Mine was one of them. It got $1100 in damage (not sure what, exactaly). Now, I'm not sure when I will get it! Could be a 2-3 weeks, I'm told. The dealer is going to see if they can find one in route to snag for me.

 

**** that.... Even if your car shows up dont buy it. Unless there willing to give you some kind of deal you cant pass up.

yea, my dealer is being retarded to, even called chevy direct, (hooray for outsourcing btw) and got the same answer, Its on the truck, yea, its takin a month to go from OHIO to NY,

 

YEah, mine was on the truck for the last 4 weeks, but thursday June 19th, the salesman called directly in front of Me the Oshawa headquarter (I'm canadian) and he was told that my car is in Michigan, but was not able to know why, and when the car will be released!

HE will be advised 2 days prior delivery when the car will amke it at the Quebec dispatch center (Charny).

At least, I have an update!

 

Mine took 4 weeks on the truck! I was getting pissed about it till it showed up. I ordered it back in april.

 

My dealers said my car will be hear by Friday.
Yeah, I have heard that one before.

 

ive decided to not be annoyed any more and wait, i want this car. even if it does come in this week, icant pick it up cuz i off vacation and my schedule would keep me from gettin to the dealer till next tuesday anyway. one day my cobalt will come.

driving my blazer now makes me feel like its a girlfriend your using just till a better one come along, lol

 

They told me that crap like 4 times. "tomorow for sure" and the such.

Well, my dealer just called me and my car left Windsor On yesterday.

Should be here by the end of next week !!!!

 

I gave up on ever getting mine. I ordered mine back in april and its still not done. For the last Month they told me that it was done and on its way. So I said **** it and got a 08 350z. Way to go chevy.

 

Mine was supposed to be here yesterday (100th time i heard that story). Not here.
I am very close to moving on. Six weeks ago I bought the car, starting insuring it and my first payment has already been paid, yet I still don't have the car.

 

That is fucked, but I don't know why you would start paying for all that before having taken delivery.

 

I out out. I am canceling the order today.

I just found out my ******* dealer has a black one on their lot right now but mine is still not there. WTF? I realize I bought one six weeks ago with a specific VIN, but GM should be able to change it somehow and make a customer happy. I was told it will be in next friday. This after my sales person promissed it would be in yesterday, guaranteed.

So, no SS for me unless they swap the car.
