will chevy?

I got a cobalt LS sedan, and i wonna get rid of it for a new car its 06 with 20,000 miles on it body is mint condition and so is everything else on it. I wanted to trade it for a civic si sedan but the amount they are giving me for the car is ridiculous. So i was thinking if i go trade it for a new chevy like the SS which i am really liking the features and specs will chevy help me out more as far as trading it for the SS?

Technically, you'll get screwed on any dealer trade in. I would suggest putting it up on craigslist and autotrader.

Now, I personally wouldn't touch the Civic Si, it has no torque and in my test drive I had to down shift from 6th to 4th to pass slow traffic.

In the Cobalt SS I could leave it in 5th and get around the slow buggers.

And, it's American!

Welcome to reality. All cars drop in value relatively quickly, especially if you only keep it for two years. You need to learn to hold on to a vehicle for longer or not bitch when you want to dump it in two years.

Cars are NOT an investment, they are a liability.

If you're worried about resale, don't get a Honda, get an Acura. And if you're worried about quality don't get a Honda, get a European car.

You won't get special treatment for trading in a Chevy for a Chevy unless you have a loyalty bonus. If you want the best money/power/economy on the road right now, get a Cobalt SS.

Seems simple to me.

a chevy dealer will give you more for your ride than a hon-duh dealer will. Chevy dealers have a deal with GM where if they pay you a lot for your trade, as long as the trade is a chevy, GM will give them the difference between what they gave you for it, and what they end up selling the car for.

sounds good well biggest part why i want something better with some more pep for a daily is because im building a weekend car yea its a honda but thats what im about dont get me wrong i do like chevy also, if i wouldnt i wont have the cobalt or be looking to getting another 1. Its funny though how I work for a european dealer (mercedes of manhattan) I'm a honda fan as far as imports and as far as domestics I'm a GM fan.

And they will turn around and sell it for more...that is the point. Next time don't buy a car that you don't drive/need.
