Winter tire size

It is kinda early for it but, anyone know if the 16 inches that I had on my SC SS would fit the TC?

I'm asking this since the brake are bigger on the new one.

And yes, I hate to drive this in snow but, I don't have the choice.

I don't think this has been confirmed/tested yet...

But my guess is no.

How big is the spare? I haven't even looked at mine yet...hmm

Well, I just peeked in the trunk, and my spare is still a 16" rim...obviously doens't mean every 16" wheel out there will fit, but it's certainly worth a try!

I have already put after market rims on mine and I can tell you that even going with an 18 I had to get spacers because the rim wouldn't clear the brake caliper. My tire guy has never seen anything quite like it....only two rims would work and they both required spacers...Bottom line: I would say probably not since the brake caliper sticks out so far...

My guess is no, since the break rotors are bigger than an 07 SS/SC, 16" barely fit my 07, but the anwser is in your trunk like several have already posted.

Answer not in trunk

Hello all just joined,

Dealer told me, and manual confirmed, spare will not fit on the front on these cars (won't clear brakes). You blow the front tire, and you're changing two wheels.

That is the way to do it anyways. You don't want a donut on your steering wheels.

I've always just thrown the spare on and motored to the nearest tire joint (usually just a couple of miles). Having a front wheel drive now, with LSD to boot, does change things quite a bit.
