hey everyone!

So ve been looking to buy a black radio with a USB port

SOOOOOO........that it matches my wicked ass red/black interior( my radio is an ugly silver right now)

Ive been having a tough time finding a black radio with a USB port and im being told that I have to then take it to a dealer and get them to programm it(which will cost me at least 85 bucks an hour, which is hard to stomach when it is more than the cost of the radio)

Second problem is finding a black temp control unit..........real hard.........

So what im thinking is this............radio wrap??

Ive seen pics of guys who have a "carbon fiber" radio and even air vents( which is effing cool!!!!)

So im thinking it is just a "wrap" maybe it is some sort of "snap on piece"????

Anyone know of where I would do this????? Or how.......or better yet.......any other suggestions that would help me reach my goal.

I didn't wrap mine. I simply took the stereo out, took the face off and simply took the time and patience to tape off all the buttons and knobs.



I havn't looked for a black hvac control setup yet. But don't the ones in other cobalts and g5's g6's match ours? As well as probably some saturns??

 

Any cobalt/g5 hvac control will work. There are tons of then available on ebay if you just look. Also you should be able to remove the faceplate of the radio by undoing some screws in the back. You will still have to tape of the screen and pop out the knobs probably. That is what I did with the radio out of my 06....not sure about the ones with the usb pprt though.

Try the G5's A/C controls. The US ones were all ebony.
