Ummm, Sorry but I don't believe it. Either those are flywheel numbers as stated above or the dyno was ******ed. Don't get cocky and think your going to beat an SS/SC, your reaching for the stars when your still in the clouds!

I'm not sure I believe it either...

But I love how all the SS/SC owners get defensive and angry.

BTW for the record, this is what a REAL tuned 2.4L SS Dyno Sheet looks like..

Note the low end and top end gains and the area under the curve This thing really flies! hehe

That looks like the highest hp got out of was 160. Where did this kid get his 220 from?

do you guys even know what torque is really? you DO realize its NOTHING, right? its just where the engine produces the power to calculate the hp....for instance acuras and whatever have no torque BECAUSE they run up to 8000 rpm for make power...if you look at the physics equation you see this is because once you pass about...5250 rpm's your torque will decrease as your hp inscreases...thats because the equation starts to reverse...hp is rpm's (somethin somethin) divided by torque...torques ONLY PURPOSE is to measure HP output...its quite simple, actually. by having 208 lbs. of torque...that means at around the 5200 range he is producing a good amount of hp...i know that post makes no sense, just google the equation to see what i am talking about.

Torque definitely IS something. Race an RSX-S or Civic Si and you'll see what a car with no torque does... lose.

what a stupid response...go learn something about cars and engines. go race a mustang GT you dip...302 ft/lbs torque...know why? BECAUSE IT PRODUCES 260 HP below 5250 RPM...or most of its power anyways...prolly around 230-240 hp @ about 5000 rpm...fool. all torque indicates is where you produce the power at in the RPM range. high torque #'s before 5250 means high hp, youll never see high torque numbers past 5250 unless you are already at a high number...rsx's and such produce their power beyond that number so they have lower torque ratings...

It shouldn't cause the vvt is always working, i'm pretty sure it's always workin in hondas too..the 'kick' is the cam switch which the SS doesn't have.

Campo...you can't call anyone an idiot when you just made a statement saying torque is nothing.

Check out this like for horse power to torque. The equation is hp = (torque * rpm) / 5,252.

torque IS nothing...you can have a million torque but you wont go anywhere. its something MANMADE to produce a hp number.

Ok. I wasn't sure that is why I said if it worked like the VTEC. I really haven't paid that much attention to how GM's VVT system worked. Thank you for the info.

in other words, its HP that matters, not torque.

point being, dont disbelief a torque number cause its a 4-banger. thats a low torque number anywho. (in comparison to other engines in the world) and im flipped here, its hp that doesnt matter raelly, i think. now im confused!
