hey all,i was looking at getting into a SS/SC but my friend convinced me to get a SS/TC if i do get an SS,since the price they want for an SS/SC around my town is so damn high,i miswell buy a SS/TC with lower miles and warranty. ive been doing a little research about tunes and stuff,im not trying to push 350 to the wheels i just want a nice tune that puts a lil pep in its (the cars) step. i want to get an intake,DP,and im goin to chop the resinator off along with the stock muffler and put a high flow muffler in. which tune would be the bvest way to go? a friend of mine has intake,full exhaust and the upper intercooler piping and he got tuned by a local shop and he is layin down 253whp and 273 tq,it sounds kind of low for the mods he has,so i figure ask the people who know best about tunes and these SS/TC's

a friend of mine told me that theres a tune that dont show up on my computer if i bring it in the warranty work AND that when you have your cruise control on,the tune is off and when the cruise control is off then your tune is active. that sounds so damn stealthy to me,if anyone knows anything about this type of tune,let me know please

oh yea,im hoping to be bringing home a SS/TC sedan with 20k miles on it,on monday! im pretty F**kING excited about this car! ive lsot alot of sleep over it lol but i will def post pictures of it when i bring her home!

 

The stealth tune you're talking about is Trifecta done my Vince. Also you're going to have a hard time finding a sedan, but much luck to you.

 

E85 and either HPT or Trifecta.

 

yea, those are almost factory numbers that your buddy is putting down... Trifecta is the way to go

Unless that's a stingy dyno his numbers seem low.
Since your planning in buying used I'm assuming warranty isn't the utmost importance or else is say get GMS1. But with just a tune and zero bolt ons you should be seeing 270+ whp and 290+ wtrq. Trifecta is the best known and most popular tuner .

 

yea,thats what i told my buddy. hes pretty pissed at his numbers. another one of my buddies has an 09 2 door with intake,full exhaust w/ no cat and got his intake manifold ported and he is layin down 333whp and 367 tq

i will post some when i buy it lol i gotta wait until monday for m credit union to open up otherwise id prolly be driving her home today. i dont want anyone lookin at it lol cuz ive saw quiet a few people say how "rare" they are lol

 

it only has 20k on it,so i have the remaining 5year/100k warranty. with a good friend who works are mauer chevrolet. so i dont think ill get screwed for modding

Welcome to sedan ownership! I've got a black 09 SS/TC with a K&N and stage 1, and I'm so far a very happy pup with it.

I'm very surprised if they only made 500 SS/TC sedans. That seems terribly low.

 

Thank you. Well im not an owner yet I guess. Monday can't get here fast enough though! Lol my buddy has a 2 door ss/tc and is extremly happy with it. I owned a cobalt LS and I could pick between a 2 door ss/tc or a a4 door ss/tc and I was like hell yea,I want that 4 door! Lol
