Unhappy 09 Turbo Boost issue

Hey guys I haven't posted alot on here but had a question...My car seems to be loosing boost all of a sudden..I will be climbing an on ramp with a decent hill and it will go to like 7 PSI and just drop off to zero...I'm going from like 2-3,000 rpms and climbing and it will just stop boosting...dealer says thats normal... No check engine light either..Thanks guys!

it's normal as long as you ain't loosing power, I rarely go past 5 psi, on regular driving, my gauge always read about -10 or less, it will only build boost when it's needed

If you're boosting normal most of the time and then under rare occasions it cuts boost/power it probably isn't a boost leak at a hose fitting or something mechanical. I'd say it sounds like the computer is pulling the boost, but it's hard to say without watching it on a scan tool to see why it's doing that. Since you mentioned it happening on on-ramps and when going down hills, by chance are you really low on fuel or noticed a difference where it happens more when you get low?

Full throttle or part throttle? Could be knocking and pulling timing that would cause a big power loss. Does it do this all the time?

It's just not on on-ramps that was just an example...Fuel level dosen't matter...It seems to do it most of the time yes....The dealership reprogramed it and told me their was some other tune in it..I haven't done anything to the car..So I told them they are on crack...Anybody know any good dealer's in my area that they have friends at that could look at my car just to make sure nothing's wrong!

When I first got mine it stopped building boost completely(Bought it new. ~100 miles or so when this happened). Turned out that the adjustment nut on the actuator rod came loose, therefore keeping the wastegate open all the time.

The Dealer simply readjusted it and tightened the nut - Problem solved.
