1 step colder plug ?s..and clutch
Does anyone think that you need 1 step colder plugs with the gms1?.... Also does anyone kno how long the stock clutch will last with the gms1 i rarely ever beat on my car ne more gas prices are too expensive i was just curious if anyone could tell me that be great thanks in advance
I personally have GMS1 on my car. My clutch is holding just fine I have 12 k miles now and have been tuned since nearly day 1. Your clutch should hold up just fine as this is designed as tune to keep full warranty. GM doesn't want to fix things for free. As far as variables driving habits should be about the only thing to really affect your clutch wear . NLS is rough on the clutch as is dumping it but that is any clutch. As for spark plugs I'd keep the factory plugs in there . These cars seem to run the best with them. If you step up to an aftermarket tune I'd say then maybe it would be more beneficial . However from what I've read proper gapping seems to be the biggest thing .
You don't necessarily need to do the 1 step colder plugs but its not a bad idea honestly. Your car may run smoother or you may not notice anything but it will be running in a lower heat range.
As far as clutch goes, you only really replace the clutch if you have to. Don't get suckered into getting these crazy racing clutches when you don't really need it.
