You can absolutely do that very thing. This is literally a 2 minute procedure.

Don't worry about the build up. If the car is stock then the warranty will easily cover the repair. If you aren't stock then you should learn some wrenching skills anyway. Follow some of the rules for reducing the chances of buildup (at least according to the folks over at Powell).

Don't load the engine at low RPMs.
Do use a Euro spec low ash oil.
Do consider a mod to deal with the crankcase vent vapors
Do consider an alternative to the oiled K&N style filter.
Do stand on the long skinny pedal once or twice a day.

Anyone have suggestion on a low price bore scope?

I'm not spending $300 on this.

Nope not I. It's not required. I'm doing it soon though due to 50 miles on the clock.

No you just have a set of "seafoam plugs" that you swap in, then when finished pop your good plugs back in and your all set.

Check Amazon.com for usb scopes. They are cheap and work with your laptop. You can find a stand-alone version for a little over a hundred there as well.

I got 42,000 and I'm running some nice mods and have not sea foamed once and I have no issues as well, I LOVE the LNF and I've owned both the LSJ and LNF and the LNF wins hands down. Keep it, Trust me

No need for seafoam plugs. The seafoam doesn't effect the plugs and the carbon doesn't deposit when passed through cylinder.

There are instructions on the bottle on how to use it. With an LNF I would suggest using most of it in the vaccum not the gas since its a directed injected motor.

I use it all the time on my 3 other cars. No problems ever. (knock on wood )

47k on the clock, Only thing I've ever had wrong with the car was a popped intercooler and had to replace the o2 sensor i killed with ethanol. Couple of Seafoam jobs here and there.

Don't afraid of DI, there's a reason car manufacturers are switching to it. If you're that worried, just pull the intake manifold and clean the valves. It's not that big of a deal.

I replaced my intake gasket ..... they are cheap ....like 10 bucks .

I've been seafoaming since new , i posted pic's at 47K (pics in my gallery) and they were a lot better than I expected them to be . Pulling the intake isn't much of a problem ..... shouldn't take more than an hour of so.

I used to replace my plugs at the same time but found that it didn't effect the plugs as far as i can tell ..... so now i change plugs every 10-15K miles.

How would we know that you were looking for 100K mile LNF's? I didn't see anything about 100K .....
you were asking about the intake gaskets ..... so i replied. Most people start taking care of the intake valve issue long before 100K .

Valves in this engine are no frickin worse than your mother's old Pontiac that had a 305 ci pushrod V8 with a smog pump and a carburetor. Just drive the frickin thing.

If you're that afraid of it use a low ash level oil, change it regularly, keep the boost to realistic numbers, and get a catch can.

At least that old Pontiac had fuel flowing over the intake Valves to help keep deposits down. lol

There is no reason to worry about it much ........ Worse case is you have to pull the intake off and clean them by hand ..... 20 bucks in gaskets and your done.

and leaky rings and leaky valve guides.

Point here is that when all is said and done there's a lot being said but really not a lot needing to be done.
