3 Bar MAP Sensor Plug & Play Question

Hello all!
I have the 3 Bar MAP sensors already but have been having issues with the Lower Pipe sensor. I always end up throwing the P0106 Code, and my boost goes in and out by itself depending on what the weather is like (raining seems to be when it really does it). It's so annoying that I'd much rather buy the plug and play kit from ZZP. My question is, would I be able to use the plug and play kit if the dealer spliced the wires (or whatever they do) to install the sensors without using a plug and play kit?

Nope. You'd have to wire back in the old stock 2.5bar connectors in order to use the p&p connectors. Check for some chafing on one of the wires or a bad splice/connection. Dealers have always been notorious for botching these installs. Plus with everything being so cramped down there, particularly with the angle of the 3bar sensors, wires can easily rub on things they normally wouldn't be and possibly rub all the way through to bare wire causing a constant issue.

I just installed the ZZP LNF PCM with the plug and play sensor kit...holy ***** was it easy. The security relearn was the longest and most annoying part of it

If I have the white wires still, that means the other harness wasn't used, correct?
Hopefully I just need to clean the sensor because wiring up the wires to the old connector seems like a hassle since I bought the car with the GMS1 already installed. It only messes up sometimes, but since it's nice out, the CEL is gone. So hopefully the wires aren't rubbed down to the bare wire.

Your original wiring harness was already spliced, so the only thing you could do to use the plug-and-play would be to buy a new OEM harness, buy the plug-and-play kit, and install it all. That would suck.

It really would, but it may be worth it so I don't have this problem anymore lol
Wonder where I could get the harness from, I checked CED but nope. What exactly would they be called? Wiring harness for MAP Sensors?

lol.. Like SSlobalt said, it would be silly to cut the 3bar connectors off and resplice the stock connectors back on just to use the p&p kit. Seems sort of redundant when you might just ultimately have the same issues again with your splices being shotty. Just try to permanently fix the wiring on the 3bar connectors to begin with and call it a day.

If you want to get the plug and play connectors to work you will need the factory harness.
Its part of the engine harness.
We do sell this Harness, click here

Then you can use the plug and play harness Click here

I didn't get the p&p 3bar sensors with the zzp PCM and I regret it! My boost is at 25psi and that's pushing my stock sensors, just a little worried. Can anything happen, or am I fine! Talked to zzp they said I'd have to get it retuned if I bought the sensors 👎👎👎

that bottom 3Bar sensor has to be one of the most flawed designs the way the wiring has to immediately do a over 90degree turn and then run up around all of that metal piping.. I almost considered removing the entire housing, meaning cutting into the pipe.. and rotating it 180egrees , epoxy the pipe back up, and then see what happens.. The dealers install job was fairly unprofessional.. but thats what you can generally expect from most. Ive already re-wired my connectors there.. I considered sodering them as was recommended in other posts....its hard to get down there with just about every tool in the arsenal. let alone a several hundred degree tool which undoubtledly leads to burnt skin, holes in walls and a lot of beer... I am currently dealing with a P0101 due to vacumn issues and when I pull the bumper to deal with the intercooler, the source of the leak, I just may then deal with the 3 bar sensor again.

I used the plug and play kit. Be careful with the lower harness. Make sure the 3 bar sensor is pointed towards the engine other wise you can damage the harness by bending it to clear the frame of the fans. It is made of very thin wire. Should of been a little better wire. I found out the hard way and had to by another harness kit. Its easy to reroute the engine harness to connect up in back.
One plus. I am now boosting 27 on full E with 5th injector , fueling cam and Opel injectors on my KO4
