We can do a "tubing only kit". Let us know what material: aluminized steel or stainless. Beth is in the office today: (425)251-0329.
Thanks.

flange is not my worries im a machinest i can make my own no problem! And thats the exact sight i was looking for

personally i think stainless i pointless seen as its uunder the car and our road here are salted anyways in the winter so 3" ALUMINIZED steel is best and well can you beat the $195 price on that website cause thats a killer price

all cobalt exhaust routing from the flange back is routed the same but like you stated the flanges are different but the DP could be different lengh but not a concern to me were i can cut it seen as i will be cutting the flange off anyways to put the 3 bolt one on

What about the drop down box where you can choose between 2 bolt and 3 bolt flange? Because there is a drop down box on the mandrelexhaust.com website to choose a 3 bolt flange.

yes but it specifies for the G5 or Ion. Im guessing its different than the SS/TC. They took the time to specify that the 2 bolt flange for the cobalt won't work for the SS/TC so im going to assume that the 3 bolt flanges don't work otherwise they woulda made a note of it..... could be wrong though

You would think that, but you never know. I'm sure you can make a 3 bolt flange 2 different ways, if not more. Either way, somebody needs to come out with a 3" mandrel bent kit. I wish the one from mandrelexhaust.com worked, because it's only $195, and with it, a muffler delete and a 3" catless DP, you would have a very nice sounding full 3" exhaust for very cheap.

Okay noob question, but with their exhaust tubing, its meant for you to put a muffler and tip on, so does that mean it would be short with a muffler delete? Or in other words, would you have to weld on an extra 3" piece where the muffler would be to get it to the lenght needed to put a tip on?

Yes, I believe all you would have to do is add a 3" piece of pipe and weld the stock tip back on. It's just like the muffler delete, the muffler shop chopped off the muffler, added in like an 18" or some **** of 3" piping and then welded the stock tip back on.

Yeah I'm debating whether to get a custom exhuast with no muffler or just do a muffler delete on my stock exhuast. But I really didnt wanna mess with the stock exhaust in case I didnt like the muffler delete thats what I was looking to a cheap alternative like this(if it worked completely).

I think no matter what way you decide to go, keep the exhaust tip coming out the back. I would rather have a nasty ricer wing on the back of my car, than an exhaust cutout in my rear fascia with no muffler tip.... looks shitty and incomplete

Right I agree. Either I do a muffler delete on our stock exhaust and keep the tip, do a custom exhaust a use our tip, or just get a cat back from somewhere.

The cost of catback exhausts can be down right outrageous for some systems. You could buy a resonator and muffler and have an exhaust shop build you one cheaper, IMO. But 550+ for an exhaust is absurd...

But most exhaust shops wouldnt mandrel bend it would they? Okay now what are the benfits of a mandrel bent exhuast? Better air flow? Is it that much of a difference? And I do agree that the cost of most catbacks are outragous! Thats why i'm looking for a cheaper alternative

yes it really does matter that much. It's all about airflow. The best way to go is either find an exhaust shop that mandrel bends or stick with the stock system and go a muffler delete and have a pipe welded in. The pipe you have welded in doesn't need to be mandrel bended cuz it's just a straight pipe with no bends.

Right, thats what i'm thinking. And say if worst came to worst and I reallyyyy hated it, would that exhuast shop be able to weld the muffler back in there? Worst Worst Case that is

I'll be back early in the morning to bend parts and I will be doing some 3" for the Cobalt next week. I'll take some time and price out just the tubing for you guys; no hangers, no flanges, no tip, resonator or muffler. It will be apples to apples comparison of that other site, who isn't a vendor here.

Feel free to PM me and remind me tomorrow. It's going to be a busy day and I tend to get stuck in the shop these days.

Thanks.
