35 Wet Shot on 2.0L LNF GMS1?

A friend of mine bought a kit for his boat LAST year and decided against it (mostly due to lazyness) and hasnt installed it this year yet and figures he will sell it for $160.. real cheap. I believe its similar to the below one.

Just wondering what would happen if you installed this on a bone stock GMS1 cobalt TC. I don't intend to install it any time soon due to warranty.. just curious if its worth buying.

Question being, can I run 35 shot on the car stock with no tune, or a 75 later with a clutch and tune. My understanding is nitrous is a bad idea for turbo cars more or less, but a 35 shot would just be plain fun I guess?

Anyone? lol

the only way i would use a nitrous kit, is with supporting mods to handle the power, and a good tune.

you definantly need a tune for nitrous tho, youll just blow your motor if you try to hit it on a factory tune.

On GMS1,learndown is eliminated. As long as your AFR's are in check and knock is not present, you should be fine. But it would be safer if you were tuned for the bottle.

Stock or GMS1 tune is way too lean in the midrange PE to take a shot. Goodbye pistons & cats.

It's a wet kit so it adds fuel for it.

Just go one size bigger on the fuel jet, 35 shot shouldn't need any timing pulled.

Well from the reading I did to see how well it would work with his boat what I found is a 35 shot is basically safe for any vehicle without a tune.

I just know our LNF's are REALLY high strung and very picky as it is, or mostly because its turbo charged and a lot of computer calculations are going on. Its a different ball game than hooking up a 75 shot to some old vortech GM truck and calling it a day lol.

The way it's compressed on F/I it will be more than a 35 shot on a ..say N/A Cobalt. It will be fine.

Though a custom tune will likely net the same gains.

I had a nitrous kit on my old SS/SC, not really worth the money in the long run.

Ive thought about this so many times as there is an empty bottle sitting in my room. Im on e60 though so I would have to stagger the jets to get a decent mix.

Not gonna fool the factory wideband since it stays closed loop at WOT, it'll pull fuel to try for the factory lambda PE settings of .95 up to 4k rpm. Awful lean for a wet or dry shot.

This ain't an LS1.
