Dude just posted this on the cobalt ss gang facebook and everyones saying its bullshit:





He says full bolt ons + e85 stock cam. Opinions?

Breds, i wouldnt get too carried away with the numbers, remember, every dyno is different, and even that depends on who calibrates/standardizes it. If you talk to mustang and dynomite dyno operators, they will tell you the dynojet numbers arent right anyway, but you see alot of them on here. Dynojets were originally only set up to test motorcycles, as i was told, but people liked the #'s so they became popular.
Also, he could have 1 of those presicion turbo upgraded k04+ or on werks websight its called wr-1. They have achieved 340-350hp on gas, so it maybe possible to push them close to 400 with e, but i dont see it going over that, and that would be on a friendly dyno.

Doesn't even have the normal k04 curve. I don't believe it. Maybe a k04+ but even that would be hard to believe with a constant increase in hp curve like that.

Those look pretty close to my ZFR setup I have. I'm running 93 octane though, no ethanol. I “guess” one could claim the ZFR is a bolt-on part since it technically is lol.

My power and torque curves are much more smoother than his though.

i figured that, the a wr or a bnr... it's low whp for even a bnr on e but pending his tuning it's possible

This exactly. My first response when i saw the graph on facebook was thats not a ko4 graph. Sorry. No ko4 graph has looked remotely close to that. Period.

anyone know the fueling mods? if hes on a stock fuel system theres not a chance in hell on the stock turbo its making that kind of power

Not a stock turbo for sure looks like a bnr or zfr if you ask me and on e-47 the hp stinks if that is the case.

I'm going with efr and it looks like peak tq is around 3500- 4000rpm. I guess I could go out to my car and grab a Dyno sheet to compare.

Hp curve is wrong it builds power until redline which the K04 plus does not. Dyno is full of it.

i can't find where i found the record for stock turbo cobalt. can someone help me find it?

my buddies had the same build as the highest whp stock turbo cobalt..

except 100% e85 and 30psi trifecta tune. and the other guy had a 30psi tune from someone else.


i just can't find out where it was

Those are with nitrous or a very happy dyno. K04 flows only enough to support 360-370 whp max.
