listen listen dont quote me! i mean seeing numbers as high as 380tq and stuff makes me think it may be able to get done. But none the less a turbo upgrade would be pretty sweet

i bet you'll see 380+whp on a stock turbo in the upcomming year...just a hint tho

the problem wont be internals it will be the clutch..which steddy proved to us their are options (good options) of upgrading

torque =/= HP. The same amount of airflow it takes to make 100hp can make 500tq

of course torque is that high, stock turbo is tiny and gets into boost like nothing. max torque at like 3000rpm

If you're not retarded, the clutch shouldn't have to be replaced though.

I had zero slip problems with the stocker, unless I did something really stupid, like was in too high of a gear and rolled onto the throttle way too hard.

You might be able to get to 360ish whp with a lot of meth and an agressive tune.

It isn't a matter of restriction at that point, it is a matter of a pump, not able to pump any more air.

i agree, once a 3 bar sensor is out i think it will be better.

what i was commenting on was the clutch at 380 whp+..because our torque would be threw the roof..

i think a certian tunner is/has worked on a 380 whp + tune but it doesnt work because is said clutch wont hold.

i cant say names tho

The answer to the riddle of making more power isn't turning up the boost anymore.

Everyone acts like 25 lbs of boost is gonna make more power than 22

and magically going to make 30 more than what most people are making tuned.

Look at a compressor map of the turbo.

All the answers lie there.

Now, some meth I think will get us there.

20 more whp on top mainly.

The thing is, meth lets you run more timing.

After a certain point you stop making power.

You can make 400 wtrq at 30 psi on the stock turbo but 340 whp is the absolute max I can see the stock turbo making at this point in time.

It will just make more torque but the turbo runs out of efficiency faster so max HP will be acheived sooner but powerband will be much shorter and very brutal.

I know I'm way late to the party but now that a few years passed i think people seen that the stock turbo can put you over 400 I do believe zzp ran 11 seconds on a stock turbo.

You won't get 400whp out of a stock turbo unless you possibly run nitrous and then it's a time bomb. Check out the Dyno thread and see what's been done in the past.
I think some have gotten close to 360 on e but that's about the top end. Everyone dynos on a chassis Dyno not motor Dyno.
