yeah try putting the stock elbow back on. It'll fit with the aem tube but it won't bolt to the same spot or just put the stock airbox on too.

heres what mine sounded like with the stock airbox

::::drops jaw:::

WTF is wrong with your **** man ? Your motor sounds like its gunna go plop any minute now seriously ...

It also sounds like a roller bearing is going out too FYI

I used a 90 degree silicon Vibrant elbow for my CIA cai and it only flutters under low rpm high gear full throttle but that would be expected your not supposed to be in a higher gear and mashing it down if you like your clutch lol like fourth gear 2000 RPM I can hear a little but thats about it ..

do you have to set up your type of bov? it sounds like when 1 is way way too tight. does this type have a spring in it? im not familiar with it cause honestly i hate that whistling sound lol

just listened to it again at the end of vid, it sounds like the bov closes too early, causing surge!

My HKS BOV does NOT flutter like that... Compressor surge = BAD! BUT, then again, I don't have an intake... So maybe that's why. I don't know.

I wonder if it'll be a new part #? because if not, it could be a while before vendors(or should I say Summit, since they are the only ones who carry the elbow separate) get "updated" elbows

I spoke to someone at AEM last night and he is looking into it, that is a great company to deal with! Their CS seems top notch so far, we'll see what happens.

I can tell you it doesn't sound like the direct injection which sounds more like a loud ticking clock at every revolution rather then a CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK every time it idles and hits the top of a stroke it sounds just like it ..

That's what I thought you were talking about. The reason I asked is because mine has that same click/clunk about every 1 second at idle. I get a nasty rattle from the engine on cold startup too...not the motor tapping or knocking...a rattle.

As long as you maintain your car well and dont beat on it constantly it should be just fine for a long time.
