Aftermarket Intake Manifolds

Is there any dyno proven Intake Manifolds for the LNF? I was just reading through the new Modified car mag and the 08 SS Cobalt has a Performance Autowerks Intake Mani, but there is no such thing on there website.

this is wrong

its a manifold we build at pwerks. has some nice features to it aswell.. smooth runners with velocity stacks, side mounted throttle body, all sensors and what not are mounted underneath, stainless steel construction. the reason you do not find it on the website is because they are special order and built one by one. these are not stocked units. its ment for guys going for big power. we just prototyped it on my car when we had it apart for the pte billet wheel turbo prototyping and efr prototype kits. im without a doubt 100% positive it will yield gains over the stocker as its an improved piece BUT unless your shooting for huge power i dont see the need for it honestly. the guys we are building these for with kappa chassis cars are shooting for 500-600+. im the only one who runs one on the cobalt.

my dyno numbers.... 442whp 450ft lbs at 25psi at 6200 rpm with a stock head and fuel system with the pte billet wheel kit, old lnf beta for hpt

my efr kit..... 415whp 426 ft/lbs at 25 psi at 6500 rpm...again stock head and fuel system.

Because I saw the Magnus made a Intake mani that lost 23hp over the stock one and it was made well with some good design features

well look at our numbers..... we are right in the ball park of where we should be with the turbos used. and they are all done an on awd mustang dyno in the shop. i drive the car daily not to mention and have not had any issues with it either. like i said i do not think the stock unit is a bad unit at all. i think with a good port and polish it will move air quite well. however i feel there is room for improvement.

heres why we built it mainly.... i originally planned to go deep into this car and shoot for extremely high hp numbers. 700+ and make a full blown drag car with it.... then i realized something. i have a low 9 second drag car thats town apart to go down into the 7s when finished. hate to say it but the cobalt will never ever compare to it. well then i got more into road racing as time went on and started build the car for that. the billet wheel 5557 was too much and i drove it around and proved that the pwerks products are not ****. i dd the car, took it to north carolina and back and out of state numerous times with the same 25psi tune without a single issue with the car and make 442whp 450 ft lbs. then the efr came out. i needed to pull my mani for egt probes and decided i wanted to just do an efr kit with a smaller turbo to make it more suitable for the road coarse.

like i said when looking at the graphs and numbers im right where i should be if not a little above( i need to find my pte turbo graph). i honestly cant say what the gains are because i have no fully put this thing through its paces against a stock manifold(which i have sold) but we have sold 5-6 of these. most are going on kappas making 500+ and one being that sky888 or whatever his name is doing the compound turbo kit.

there is a vender here that has been working with one, I tuned the car they did the testing on. He made 361 and 409 but no gains after putting the aftermarket manifold on it.

I think its just a matter of better flow and better construction under high hp. Like I said if your not making big power there's no point
