aftermarket turbo setup question

i have a pwerks 5557 turbo kit with manual boost controller. My question is can i just control boost without a manual boost controller and use HPT....a friend has basically same kit no boost controller and somehow is controller boost without a controller

u have the boost solnoids that control boost on the k04 u can use these but the turboneeds the same lbs spring for the wastegate. so if a turbo has a 8lbs spring in it then ure turbo needs a 8 lbs spring. i hope thats understandable

now read this very closely, this is how you use the factory boost solenoid. Mounted on the stock turbo there is a sensor with three vacuum lines on it. Once you get the turbo off you can remove the sensor and the lines. The bottom port (all by itself next to the electrical connector) will need connected to the hot side pressure pipe. The port on the side of the sensor will go to the diaphragm side of your wastegate. The top port leave open.

what about the vacuum line on the turbo...and only how do i connect one to the hotside?

good info here! gonna check my lines later and see if i got everything hooked up right because i cannot boost over 20 pounds...unless i swap two lines around then i boost over 30...YIKES!
