Talking Am I Insane?

Got the gms1 kit. Don't even have a cold air intake yet, just a muffler delete.

The car hauls ass...thinking of getting a modpipe so i can downpipe it and run it on roads, but when i need to emissions test it it can pass when i switch back.

Are these safe trifecta and hp tunes that much faster than GMS1, cuz the car is already super fast.

And, if I have GMS1 and I add a downpipe, intake, take out the rear seats, is it going to be a huge difference from what I have now?

i don't want to custom tune yet....when I ditch the warranty when I get a reliable daily driver and garage this one, i'll go full out....but for now, i'm just wondering how much more a downpipe and intake will get me?

If u tune for them then plenty but after shouldnt be that much. buy another ecm or just do the stealt tune or hide a tune from trifecta.

trust me, if 320ft/tq is plenty fast.. you dont need to go further then gms1

wait until you get bored of that to go air filter+downpipe+tune

0 without a tune. as far as we know, gms1 does not remove the "learn down" feature

Why would GM release a stage tune if it wouldn't remove the learn down feature? That doesn't make sense to me at all. Unless you mean it's just moved up to where they re-set it at...

Taking out the rear seat should net you about 100hp or one full second in the quarter mile. That 12 lbs is really making the difference.

So I have the GMS1 package, intake, catless d/p, and hard piping. As far as noticing any more horsepower... no. The car is at the shop waiting to be dyno'd to see whether it puts down more or less then the last dyno with just an intake.

You're a moron. I have my rear seats out, not to save weight, but for the better sound. You can hear the turbo so much better without them.

Idiot
You're removing weight from the rear of the car instead of the front, and the back seat weighs a whopping 12-15 lbs.

You sir.......................are the idiot ricer, and obviously still in your teens.

I removed my engine from my cobalt to save weight...

Seriously theymake those rear seat delete kits for our cars, and IMO they look sweet, plus they do reduce the weight. Every little bit helps.

Wow are you stupid. Why the hell would you want more weight in the rear than in the front on a FWD CAR!?!?!!

That will be interesting to see...I dyno'd on Friday GMS1 with 321whp/330wtrq (intercooler, piping, k&n drop-in, downpipe and aem turbo to airbox coupler)

Weight removal from the front of the car is always more beneficial, douche-funnel. Your dumb ass gives this site a bad name.

no but the exhaust note is probably louder inside the cabin without rear seats to help deaden the sound

Ummmm no, your ******* gives this sit a bad name. In a FWD car it would be better to have more weight in the front then the rear ASSUMING you're going in a straight line. If you want fun in the twisties then you want a 50/50 weight ratio with as little weight as possible.

Nope, please go find someone with a LNF and take their rear seats out and go for a ride.

This. You can hear the turbo much much better through the exhaust, in fact you pretty much only hear the turbo since the muffler is further back.
