Another p2178

Ok guys I'm back for help. I popped another cel p2178. And gets irritating me. It gave me 3 choices
1. Leaking injectors
2. Failed maf
3. I believe running rich. I forgot the 3rd choice.

Any idea where to start looking? I replaced the whole fuel rail with the 2010 upgrade fuel so I doubt it's the injectors. How would I know if my maf is bad? I know I need a retune so if any body can tune me please ley me know ASAP. I'm located in Houston Thanks.

Jaygo whats up dude!

P2178 is System Too Rich Off idle

Most ppl with this issue have found that they bypass valve in the turbo had a tear in the diaphragm. So a new bypass valve solved the issue. Others have replaced their MAP sensor and others have replaced the purge valve in the canister in the back of the car near the fuel tank. If this sticks open it could be constantly venting fumes into the IM.

If it were me, I'd check for small boost leaks and most definitely check the bypass valve in the turbo for tears. Is your turbo stock still? no blow off valve? Also if you have an untuned intake, it could also cause the code to pop up.

It all depends bro...

Thanks for the help Cuban. I'm on stock turbo with no blow off value. I have the Forge bpv. I Replaced the purge value in the canister about 7 months ago. Ill check for leaks today when I get off. Well make sure everything is tight since I don't have a boast leak tester

I get this code and clean my MAF sensors and it runs like new. I'm sure I could replace the purge valve and it wouldn't keep coming back.

Are you in Houston. I'm on my cell and it doesn't say where you are located. How much is a new maf? Or should I try cleaning it first

I'm in Idaho. Not sure how much they cost but cleaning it takes less than 10 minutes.
