Another Problem

I am having another problem with the car, this has been the best way to find what the problem could be. Anyway I was driving down the highway going 70mph and suddenly the car bogged down and was back firing, whenever I would hit the gas the car would jerk and I would barely move. It happens randomly and today it happened again and I noticed right after it bogged and I let off the gas my car was sitting at 24 vacuum... Normal is always 20. No codes are being thrown so I can't figure the problem out... I don't think it's the lower TMAP sensor since we fixed it when the car was messing it last time, plus it actually threw a code for that and I had a lot of turbo flutter with that, and right now I am getting no turbo flutter and no codes so I think it is something else.. Any help would be great just setting me on the track would be awesome.. Thanks.

Changed them like 10,000 miles ago. I did have a misfire since then though...

It could be a rub on the lower TMAP senser wire. A rub causes a "dirty" signal and can cause your issues. Try tie wrapping the wire to the intercooler tube so it does not rub the engine.

I'll try this and tell you what happens. Is there anything else that could be causing this? Could the misfire have screwed up my plugs, should I change those also?

I was leaving work today and they wanted to see me get on it, I hit it in first shifted into second hit it and I'll I got were backfires, so I let off and threw it in neutral and no matter what gear I tried I got backfires until I turned the car off, after that it drove fine but still doesn't seem like its making boost like it should.

I'd take off the valve cover and look for broken lash adjusters, just to be sure.

If I had a broken lash adjuster wouldn't this be happening non stop, instead of periodically.

What intake? Mine would do this when moisture would hit the MAF.

150 before you drove it is fine. If you're gunning it at 150 or driving a little harsh no no. let it get to 180 for a few minutes lol

x2, I say seafoam it see if it solves it. If not it could be an ignition coil. check what cylinders the misfire is from.

I do have the Hahn intake so the MAF could be messing up because of the moisture...

It was 150 when I was leaving so it was at least 180 when I passing my work.. It was from cylinder 1 when it threw a code for it a little while ago..

Way to leave out pertinent information

This is prone to happen after heavy rains, whether or not you drive the car, since it gets dripped on from above. Less likely to happen if you have a water resistant cover.

I think GM should put together a TSB on this, seems to be the latest recommendation. The last time I took mine in (after the motor teardown) they were on the phone with GM Tech all day, get the car back and notice that's exactly what they did. It's zip tied to the vertical portion of the charge pipe now .

Thanks for the suggestion. The Performance Parts call center now makes this reccommendation.
