Another stage kit thread
Im just about to buy the LNF stage kit. I found the hardware for $435, brand new and unopened!!!!
The seller said hes not sure if its for the Cobalt SS though...its the right part # 19212670, so I should be all set right? He was saying something about the authorization code in the kit needing to match the calibration code??

I just ordered the kit, it should be here in a week, so the final countdown begins! Im going to install the parts myself, anybody thats done it have any advice or tips? I already printed the instructions, and it looks pretty straight forward. I know the tab needs to be trimmed on the sensor that goes into the air inlet duct, but anything else to watch out for?
I know itll set codes on the drive to the dealer, but as long as I drive it easy I should be fine right? Man I cant wait! Ive been waiting for this for a year and a half, since I bought the car!

Just drive it easy and you should be fine (no boost...drive it like your grandpa drives his '98 Buick Park Avenue)...
There is also a webpage with "tips" somewhere...can't remember where I saw it though...

Eh the $435 I found fell through...I f'ed that up. It was on ebay, and I thought it was a BUY IT NOW @ $435, but it wasnt. It ended up getting bid up to $515 I think.
Anyways, I just ended up going with my first plan and ordering it from my local dealer. I still got it VERY cheap though.
Im paying $500 for the hardware. I talked to the parts manager and mentioned to him that I found an authorized dealer on GMPP website that was selling the parts for $500, so he matched it!
Im hoping Ill be under $600 when all is said and done!

I don't think you need to do any trimming...think that is only the HHR...I'm installing on Thursday night/Friday morning and getting the flash done on Friday morning.

hmm this whole time Ive been planning on installing myself. However, I just got off the phone with my service manager, and he may have changed my mind. He quoted me $125 for the complete install/flash. I already ordered the parts for $500, so $625 total is not bad at all. Might just save myself the trouble and have them do it.
