2.0L LNF Performance Tech 260hp and 260 lb-ft of torque Turbocharged tuner version.

Anyone have HP Tuners scan log for a AEM intake?

Synapse IC as it will cool just as well as Hahn's but costs a lot less. You dont have to do aftermarket CPs at the same time but I suggest doing them because you already have it apart to do the IC anyway.

I have my AEM intake on and car is running smooth like it was with the stock airbox. It pulls a lot harder up top now though. It feels really good. I have not logged it yet as I am waiting for the ECM to relearn the fuel trims. It feels a lot more responsive and has less part throttle bogging then when I had the Dejon intake on there.

It might require some slight retuning but at this point I believe that it is within 3% of stock.

Terminator2, As far as the intake is concerned, with a stock car, shouild I wait for this GM kit to come out before buying and installing the AEM intake? Will the feul trim be fine on stock car without stage kit? Right now I have K&N drop in, should I just stick with it? Just looking for an opinion and you seem to know what you're doing! I have a catted dp on order as well. I know my car will learn down until I get the kit upgrade.

I can get an AEM from a local guy and it will be here tomorrow but these intake stories have me spooked. So the AEM has good driveability Term?

Yes it does so far. I have only 25 miles since it was installed though.

I know, right?!?!

Ok, so my options are as follows

SRI - that option is out the window, too much heat soak

CAI -

Right now I have Clear Image's on order, they said they had 0 issues with fuel trimmings ... hmmm

Injen - loss of power across the band

Hahn - forget it

AEM - questionable

Stock Box w/ K&N drop in

stock box, if you mod the snorkel and the silicone elbow to the turbo, would be a pretty good intake upgrade if I'm not mistaken? Correct?

I have been running without the snorkel with the stock intake and filter and am seeing the same MAF lb/min flow as I did with my Injen (32-34lb). My LTFT's were off a little, but it was easily fixed with some calibration.

The worry I do have running this combo is the velocity stack type effect the snorkel provides. And I haven't been on the dyno to prove whether or not I'm actually making more power w/o it.

My car is running very well with the AEM on there. It is very smooth no bucking or jerking like the Dejon intake. I need to turn up my airloads a little now as it flows much more efficently now.

Sound is not much louder than the stock airbox with the snorkel removed actually. It sounds good. My Dejon SRI did sound a lot lounder but it got annoying after a while.

Good to hear! The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the dry filter. With the Fujita oiled filter on my LSJ, I've never had a problem with rain etc. On my bud's Injen intake with dry filter, it got soaked to the point it was dripping wet. Not a good thing.

Very good. You have to lightly lube the end of the silicone coupler to slide it over the turbo inlet otherwise it will not slip on. The breather connection fits well but is a tad too long IMHO. I could grind it down if I wanted to. It looks huge compared to my 2.5" CPs at 3.25". I got the gray powdercoated and it looks a lot nicer than the polished one. IMHO the polished style looks cheap to me for some reason.

It could be an issue I have not driven it in the rain yet. I can fabricate a sheild if needed. I do like that the dry filters dont attract as much dust as oiled filters the dust just shakes off so to speak. The filter is bigger than most others too a 7" element instead of a 5" or 6".

Out of curiousity, which size Injen hydroshield would fit then? Link goes to different hydroshield sizes...
Just curious if you knew of the top of your head...

I did last night and got +9 to +10 LTFT because the diameter is learger than stock apparently. The overall driveability is better than my Dejon though. It does stumble a little on cold startup but it might stop once it finishes relearning the fuel trims. I adjusted my MAF calibration table and will check the results tomorrow.

Yowza! +9 - +10!!! This is on a tuned car though, I would think it would be ok on a stock tune?

Let's roll up in one place the STFTs/LTFTs and maybe flow numbers that we've collected so far from the different intakes... even if they're the same ones but from different people, it'd be helpful to get a feel and maybe get a pattern down.
