ok so i have a dashhawk version 2 and im wondering why it wont read my command a/f ratio, my buddy has one and it reads his on his 08 ss/tc but mine wont read my car....if anyone has a dashhawk and can give me a few pointers that would be awesome...

I had a dash hawk in my 05 SC, it wouldn't even work! I took it out and put it into my 09 Sonata, and it worked fine. I didn't think the Dash Hawk worked in our cars after what I went through.

 

they don't work in the ss/sc but they do in the ss/tc's. Mine worked fine but stored for winter or i would check for you to see what functions did or didn't work, but I'm pretty sure they all did.

 

A/f worked in mine... the 08+ss have a build in wideband witch your dashawck should read... if it does not read u might have or a bad dashawck or a bad o2...

 

ya idk what its deal is, my car in an 09 ss/tc sedan and when i choose cammand a/f it says N/A but its reads my stft and ltft

 

ya works on my 09 tc/ss. I dont think it ever worked right on the lsj...

 

hhmmm weird, im gonna have to call MSD and firgure it out or something cause its frustrating

I'm fairly sure I did a firmware upgrade in between using it in my MS3 and SS...Plus I had to get a new odb2 cable.

go there, click Gen 2. Make a username and download firmware version 2.51. plug DH into pc, update it.

You can change back light color as well. I have about 6 Cobalt SS logo's for the boot process. if you have an email, I can send you them. I'd send the software but its 50 mb.

Where did you mount your dashhawk and where can I find the best place to buy one? It was between this and aeroforce gauges, but aero is expensive unless I buy one, but I don't know where I can find a stock looking gauge pod for two gauges. my stock gauge and aero.

 

I've actually bugged cp-e a while back to make us parts for the lnf...obviously it went no where...but they did a sweet DH holder for the ms3.






even has slots in the holder so it doesn't cover the vent. This could easily be done for the SS. Maybe we could bug mpx about it? But in the MS3/MS6 world the DH was freaking very popular.

 

The DH I had came out of a MS3. lol. Go figure. Looking for a LNF to buy anyways.

 

Any idea where one of these could be purchased at? I emailed MSD and have looked on ebay as well as amazon with no luck. Altho amazon had some pretty cool simular devices. Thanks

the mazda guys LOVE the dashhawk. I had a ms3...and thats why I have mine haha. Bought it used off another member. Um.. they dont make them anymore so ebay, craigslist and amazon may have them every so often.

 

I bought mine from cardelino18, its works great, however the windows support is terrible, i am going to have to find an old laptop wuning like windowx xp 32 bit.

 

MSD only works on "CAN" vehichles that get power from the obd 2 port. So it will not work for 05-07 SS as they are "PT"......
