btw, if you are only getting 195 miles/tank, then your mpg is like 16-17mpg, not 22...its a 12.5 gallon tank
I just got back from a 1500 mile trip. Started out at around 500ft above sea level and ended up around 4500-6000 at times, speed limit was 75mph for the most part and I was seeing an average of 25mpg. Not too bad at all considering all the 'hill' climbing I did.
I average my mpg on every fill-up. I have a 21 psi E47 tune and Ventus V-12 tires at 32 psi. I see the highway about 2% of my driving. I get anywhere from 17-19MPG, depending on my foot. I haven't seen over 20MPG average since the car was stock. Back then, I got about 22MPG average. Stupid lead foot.
In the 3.5 years I've owned this car, it has only gone out of town once, and I got about 26MPG on the highway. I changed sparkplugs back at 15K and noticed no difference.

I got about 19-21 on 93, if that makes you feel any better. I originally thought that all the guys on here with 32MPG cars were full of ****, but then I realized it's just how often you get on the highway that matters. This car isn't my DD, so when I get it out of the garage, I'm generally driving like an asshat, so I'm never going to get good gas mileage. That's why I have a 1991 Honda Civic. It gets 32 MPG in town and 39MPG on the highway.
I average 30-32 in mixed driving, with a high of 33 or so with catted downpipe, K&N SRI and Trifecta sometimes used. i flog it a few times a week but usualy drive conservative and use 5th gear often, shifting at 2k during daily driving. That being said, i have been paying attention to the posts regarding the valve gunk buildup. I'm at 76000 miles now, so I guess I'll need to check that out too. On a side but related note, I run 93 most of the time, but I found a gas station nearby that had 89 with no Ethanol. I had maybe a 5th tank left of the 93, so just as an experiment I filled up with the 89, making sure not to get into boost for that tank due to the lower octane. Ive stayed out of boost a whole tank before and it resulted in a 32.5 mpg tank. Well, this tank netted me 35.1MPG! Thats with the lower octane. So a 10+% gain in gas economy, just imagine if all regular fuel had no E. That would put a huge reduction in our demand for fuel, bring prices down due to reduced demand and would have little to no effect on our dependency on foreign oil. It would however reduce emissions a bunch also. Food for thought......

Now do the same with your 93 so you can compare apples to apples.
my commute to andrews down in MD was only 18miles and i was averaging about 27mpg with mix driving and about 32-33 highway and behaving a little bit lol.

Just did a 10 hour drive with 2 stops and was almost completely all highway. I had cruise control set at 110km/h for hours. My first tank I never hit boost at babied it the whole time just to see how far i could go on a full tank of 94. I did 670km until the fuel light came on and when I filled up I was at 703km. Not bad for a car that's fully bolted, hp tuned and laid down 330whp and 374ft lbs. Tires are nitto nt05's 235 all 4 corners at 40 psi.
